So I have to admit... the thing I miss most about living in Ohio is the GOETTA!  Even though goetta did not exist in Wooster... I had a co-worker from Cincy (Sharonville) who would bring me back a cylinder of Glier's Goetta everytime she went home.

So I had a hankering for that Cincinnati delicacy... and was looking to order some online...

I can get 6 1 lb. rolls for about $30 bucks... I live alone... so that will take awhile to eat... I assume I can just store goetta in the freezer?

I saw Low-Fat Goetta and was intrigued...

"Low Fat Goetta has just 2.5 grams of fat and only 8 total carbs, all while maintaining the classic Goetta taste!"

Has anybody tried it... does it really retain all that classic Goetta taste?  I'd like to eat healthier... but I don't want my goetta to taste like bland crap... if low-fat goetta tastes 90% as good as regular goetta... I might try it...

I've never tried it, but I'd find it hard to believe that it resembles the real deal in all its fatty goodness.  I'll try to remember it next time I go to the store and hopefully report on it.

Freezing works wonders.  I know people who make/buy buckets of the shit and toss it in the freezer for later enjoyment.

Low-fat Goetta? That's like saying, "... just get me an O'Doul's."
