May 2, 200718 yr When I'm in London I always stay at the New Atlantic Hotel in Paddington/Bayswater. Right across the street from the hotel is the Cleveland Arms Pub! I had WAY too many pints of English ale there.
May 2, 200718 yr MrNYC, I shall post lots of pics, but I don't know if I can be as creative as you with that Cleveland theme! Veddy nice! "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
May 2, 200718 yr ^ well if you happen to get a few pics of cleveland square and johnosu can of the cleveland arms pub i'd think we'd have it covered - heh!
May 2, 200718 yr I do have a few pics of the Cleveland Arms pub, I'll try to get one scanned. Do you know who/what Cleveland Street in London was named for? Was it originally spelled with an "a" but dropped in honor of our Cleveland? :-D
May 14, 200718 yr I actually wonder if it has to do with Cleves (I believe was an old provence like area in Germany) who produced Anne of Cleves who was the fourth wife of Henry the Eighth?
