Farewell from "America's Most Livable City"*

*according to Places Rated Almanac

hold up they aren't loading, is something wrong with my comp?  It's been on the fritz lately

remedied... UO doesn't support the formatting I was using

with all your threads and posts about Pittsburgh, I am seriously considering that city as one of the places where i want to look for work when i finish school.... it is soo amazing and thank you for all of your threads.. keep them coming!!!!

Impressive!

Evergrey, you should talk about Pittsburgh's declining population and industry base like you do in every Ohio city's thread.

...that was a lot of pictures.

Nice shots though.

Very true remark W.28th!! Very nice thread anyway Evergrey.

^,^^ Come on guys, appreciate the nice set of photos as they are. Leave the statistics to debate in the city threads.

Nice!

Pittsburgh is nice and certainly beautiful, but it just seems to have...something that just bothers me.  It might be the housing stock, it might be the hills everywhere (i like hills, but I also like some flat), lack of easy transportation (large, direct highways i mean), the Steelers, or the excessive amount of grit.  That said, I still think the city is gorgeous and really does have a lot going for it.  Oakland has two great universities, Schenley Park, Museums, etc, Shadyside has wonderful homes and a great business district, and Southside is very impressive.  I hear downtown is really making a comeback as well.  I hope the best for Pittsburgh

I THINK I LOVE PITTSBURGH

just not the steelers lol

Let's leave the anti-Pittsburgh stuff out of this thread, folks.

Nice shots!

Pittsburgh is wonderful!!!  Can't wait to take a visit there!

If that was directed at me, sorry.  I was just trying to describe the love/hate relationship I have with Pittsburgh.  Kind of like LA, you love to hate it, and hate to love it.

No, it wasn't directed at you.

Awesome photos

Great pics!  I have to agree, leave the bashing out of THIS thread....that is what you have us Clevelanders for on UO!!

I agree this isn't the place for bashing, but I'll go on to say noone bashed any city in this thread. One person made an observation and spoke on it. Back to Pittsburgh.

well, I guess these photos must be pretty awesome this time around if they're provoking this type of violent attack from the Cleveland Boosters Association!

I have a project for you... why don't some of you guys with a little extra time on your hands... search my 18 pages of posts... and come up with all the hard examples of me bashing Cleveland and you can start a thread on it... "Examples of Evergrey Bashing Cleveland".

^ That wasn't directed at you...nor anyone in general...just making fun of myself and Cleveland in general....not that I don't like Cleveland..I LOVE it...but damn I wish we had YOUR skyline!

^^Thanks for the assignment, I'll get right on that...

^pittsburgh's skyline is overrated.

I know for a fact on another site you said something to the effect of "x building does much to improve Cleveland's diminutive skyline" That's definitely a backhanded "compliment" I would take the time to find others, but you know what you've said on this site and others, there's no need for anyone to help you remember your negative comments about Cleveland hidden behind some frail compliment.
