There are a lot of random/weird things in our cities...just thought this could be a place where we could showcase them.

Here is one to start it off...This is in Cincinnati near 5th & Elm (across from the Convention Center):

WTF!?!?  I figure its probably some piece of crap from the 80's or something, but this plaza type thingee serves no particular purpose nor is it attractive...does anyone have the story on this??

Love the title.....but it fits. It looks like a bench/skatepark/velodrome/outdoor amphitheatre/ that's at least partially ADA complient. Why it was built, who knows?

this thread should be called our great civic spaces.

Was that where the fireman memorial was before it was moved to Third Street?  Or is that in the next block?

That picture reminds me of that crap at the Cincinnati side of the purple people bridge.

Mount Alburn, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Brilliant 1970s work there. Even received national awards!

^That's a great photo.

There are more great photos with history of that. There was another "civic space" which consisted of some concrete crap and "globe" lights. And another "civic space" which was a partially demolished building that was left as "art work".
