Apparently an ongoing series of monthly design charrettes out and about the fair city of Cleveland.  I just figured some of you would like to know about it so that they get more submissions.  I fear that during the second one everyone was busy with their Cleveland Competition 2007 submissions to do some simple sketches.

 

Anyway, that is my good deed for the day.

Welcome to the forum! I love the idea of the charrettes, but the layout style is a little confusing - I'm seeing the announcement for the current proposal (waste receptacles) below an entry for the April bridge charrette. It's great for a blog, but for making announcements and soliciting entries... I'm not sure of a better way to organize it, but my suggestion would be to organize things so that entries are kept/listed with their corresponding charrette. Also, you may be having fewer submissions because a lot of people are wrapping up finals/school - the forums have seen a small dip in participation because of that. Keep up the good work!

i am liking solution 'A' for the auto garage - green that puppy up. the others reflect rather modern gimmicks, not that they wouldn't be interesting too. taking any structure "back to nature" so-to-speak as solution 'A' does is always a winner in my book. maybe it could be done a bit differently, but that's the idea i like the best so far.

 

i hope people keep up the contributions, your blog is needed and it is a great way to jolt up and promote some creative thinking. agree w/ mayday you may want to organize it differently.

 

This is an awesome idea.  I hope to submit something to one of these in the future.  Thank you for posting, Dru, and welcome to the forum.
