May 7May 7 Gahanna lays groundwork for proposed mixed-use developmentThe city of Gahanna has approved a pre-annexation agreement that would pave the way for a potential mixed-use project.The agreement between Columbus-based developer Trivium Development and property owners Jimmie and Darlene Toney allows for the annexation of two residential sites into Gahanna from Jefferson Township. The parcels total 8 acres and are located at 4722 and 4736 E. Johnstown Road.Trivium is planning a commercial and multifamily project on the properties, which it is in contract to purchase from the current owners. A site plan submitted to the city shows 121 one- and two-bedroom apartment units and an 8,400-square-foot commercial building for restaurants and retailers.
