Here are some recent pics of Downtown Stuart Florida. They have done a great job in preserving the old, adding the new and making it very pedestrian oriented.

Thats some very nice stuff...I really like that new construction in the very first pic.

interesting to see stuff like traditions. i certainly prefer it to typical subdivisions, but i dk, i dk.

all that pink (salmon), just makes the place look like a big bottle of Pepto-Bismol!

Those colors are part of the culture of south florida. The latin and caribbean cultures are very colorful and it shows in the colors of the buildings.

I'm latin and that you can't put lipstick on a pig and call it pretty!  That sh*t is hideous!

Once again, how can you be so against development that is infill, mixed use, pedestrian oriented and multi-story? Even if you don't like the color or the architecture can you see the quality in site layout and location.

Rage,

Are those vacation homes or year-round homes?  I'm impressed with the infill density because I keep hearing that a lot of these beach communities are becoming hot beds of ultra-NIMBYism - so hats off to the community for sticking to some urban design for a change.
