Urbana gets a bad rap because of its sucky courthouse, but it is actually a cute little city.  I'm a fan.

Great shots of a surprisingly interesting city. I was there a couple months ago for a meeting and took pictures of some of the same buildings. Had a quick dinner at Catfish Jones, a fine, friendly place. I was especially struck by Carmazzi's General Store on the Square: a tiny crackerbox of a place that is part deli, part newsstand, part candy store and part grocery store -- and that looks probably the same as it did 50 or 60 years ago. What's the latest on the Douglas -- the big old hotel with the mansard roof?

Nice photographs! Too bad the monument is not more pedestrian accessible.

Urbana is one of the better courthouse towns.

Oh, and excellent pictures.

Cute town, good work!

And props for a rare sighting of one of the elusive Urbana Party Girls!

Nice tour, and the city looks quite urban for a smaller city.  Not exactly sure why, but this building(s) intrigues me:
