My life as a Rollergirl

CINCINNATI - It's 8:30 a.m. on a Wednesday. I get in my car, pick up some coffee and drive downtown to my job as the pop-culture reporter at The Enquirer. Once there, I slog through mountains of e-mails and press releases, conduct interviews on the phone and outside of the office, work on any number of articles I have brewing and do a bit of blogging.

Okay, anyone a tad sick of these roller derby teams by now?  Every city since about 2005 same thing: slick websites, bring out the professional photographer, big write-ups in the local daily and weeklies. This's all going to fade out in two years. 

^ I know 2 girls on this team. They don't do it for publicity or show, they do it for fun ... just like co. softball leagues etc ...

I have a friend who is going.  She wanted me to come, if I didn't have to work I would go.  It would be fun to atleast check it out.
