The Finals outcome was not what we hoped, but the energy and momentum in the city should carry us all the way through to a championship next year!  Pics from the first Finals in Cleveland...Go CAVS!

Ok...I'm still learning how to post through photobucket...these pics are way large and cut off on the right side...sorry bout that...i'll have this figured out the next time i post

great pictures

Nice.

Just like being there.

gorsh, I'm always so close to appearing in someone else's photos..........

Nice to see the city shine.

I'm always a sucker for crowd shots in urban environments. But these were great. Nice color. Good sky contrast. Yucky parking lots. Super activity overall.

For the love of god, when is the Terminal Tower restoration going to be finished???

They aren't cut off on my computer...they look great, and so does Cleveland.  I'll be rooting the Cavs on next year (damn I hate the Spurs).

Great pictures.

Cleveland was off the chain!  I was very very happy with the attitude of the residents, the way the city pulled together to put its best face forward to the international community.  I was proud to say I was a Clevelander.

MANY MANY MANY thanks to you folks here on UrbanOhio.  I used DAMN NEAR ALL of your suggestions, comments and recommendations, to make sure Cleveland was represented properly!  I cannot 100 % confirm anything, but there will most likely be articles about Cleveland in food & wine, people, TIME and Entertainment weekly magazine (or their websites).  Sports Illustrated & TNT, HBO Sports and local Headline News.  I made sure to give them a list of the upcoming festivals and events.

The cynical New Yorkers as fun and cool and "not at all what we expected" and amazed at the cost of living, price of condos in the city and how nice they were compared to the east coast.  There were only a few negatives about the lack of shopping and not enough quality hotels.

If only we could get rid of our abundance of surface parking lots downtown.  :-(  But regardless of this Finals outcome, it was awesome to see the city so electrified on every corner.  I'm sure Lebron and company will bring this type of excitement (and championships, finally) to the city for years to come!

Did anyone get a shot of 200 PS lit up to say "Go Cavs"?

Good news.  I hear you organized a kick ass party!  Good Job!

I don't know which slogan I like better.. "Rise Up" or "we are all witnesses"

Outside of LeBron can anyone name all the players on the 2007 Finals posters draping the Q?

Wow what a flashback.  The first thing i noticed is that the Celebrezze Federal Building looked better the way it was... haha

Anderson Varejao and Lebron James in the top one, the next one is a little harder but I think I can get them all...

Ira Newble?  Larry Hughes?  Eric Snow, Drew Gooden, Sasha Pavlovic, Zydrunas Ilguaskas, and Lebron James.

Geez, no wonder we got swept! :P

EDIT: Looked it up and Larry Hughes was right, but that's not Ira Newble (he was on the team but was #14.  That's Donyell Marshall.)

It's great to see how much downtown has changed since 2007!
