Re: where the chalk location was....

 

I'm sure many already know this because you're more knowledgeable than I am, but I was there and unaware until my friend who is studying at USC told me - it used to be an ugly, nasty, closed off mall.  It was losing money until it was open aired and residences were buillt on top of it.  It looks great now and seems to be doing much better. 

 

Oh, and Forest City did the project....

Those chalk drawings look awesome!
