Great pictures, especially the night ones.  Glad you got a chance to get back up there.

Nice picture.  Just yesterday I walked passed your building and thought how this neighborhood changed over the two decades Ive been in NYC.

^ yeah, i can see that thought hitting you here as this nabe is one of the most dramatically changed.

i most notice how pedestrian-wise it used to be a rather desolate intersection, but now its so crowded with people 24/7 it feels like midtown.

When I first moved to NYC anything outside of boundaries of Bleeker and Greenwich was considered dangerous.  The meat packing district was a dump.  Chelsea was a mess, Clinton was dangerous and nobody wanted to live in between Penn Station and the Port Authority.

Whenever I go to the Chelsea office, I just think about how bad this are was and filled with sex, s&m clubs hookas, hoes and prostitutes.  What a difference a decade makes!

What is and was this bldg in the distance on the right?

^ quimbob that blockbuster is the port authority building, one of largest buildings in the city. it was also one of my first photos threads on uo --there is info about it and pics from inside too (my spouse works in there, some commute huh? one block from home) -- check it out:
