i realized I'd rather sit around and drink with what little free time a case student has.

If you like to play volleyball but can't commit to a team, I have a friend who plays out at Huntington Park in Bay Village (I think that's the right name, it's near Huntington Beach), they have pickup games at the volleyball courts pretty much every night in warm weather, you can just show up and jump in, it's very casual, the teams sort of reorganize from game to game based on who wants to play.

Whiskey Island has some pretty active volleyball leagues.

In case anyone cares, I found a soccer team and promptly injured myself. LOL. I'm hopeful I'll be able to start running again this week,  haha. I'm only 25 going on 26, but I never got the memo you can't just start playing new sports on whim like when you're younger.

Hope you recuperate soon - just be glad you're getting the memo at 25 - my dad played rugby until he was about 50! :eek:
