May 20, 201015 yr Before I was married, one of my cabinets had a box of every type of pasta known to man. Now, thanks to my Irish wife, I trip over bags of potatoes!
June 20, 201014 yr Wow...this thread is a hoot! I saw a while back where KJP has a series of funny come-ons from various females, which he did not respond to, for whatever reasons. I have to tell you that in my case, I can be caught flat footed when I get comments like those...it's not always easy to think quickly on your feet and come with a snappy response! Other times, I'm "on" and the repartee comes quickly and easily...just a matter of what I had for lunch, I guess...or what I had to drink...or the alignment of the planets...a full moon...who knows? It's all hit or miss, mostly miss and just depends on tring to be adept at picking up the vibe. A female paricipant said she picks up on the air a guy projects. Very true. I've found that if I'm feeling good or feeling good about myself, I usually do better. There have been time when I got myslef ready to go somewhere and changed my mind simply because I had a bad day or wasn't feeling social.
June 20, 201014 yr Or she could look like the 50-year-old Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko... Meh. While I find the Princess Leia thing she's got going on strangely erotic, she's got crow's feet. And probably wrinkly elbows. And knobby knuckles due to early onset arthritis. Send her to me. I'd be most happy to take your rejects!

July 4, 201014 yr To people here in their 30s and up, how easy was it to meet people in the Flats back in the hey day? I've heard that it was impossible NOT to get numbers and "action" during those awesome nights.
July 5, 201014 yr I have been in Boston the past month and have to say this is the best place I have ever been to get young/hot/educated girls numbers. I never had a stretch of nights in Cleveland like I've had the past 96 hours.
July 7, 201014 yr I knew I was in the wrong place. Better transportation and better babes on the East Coast, eh? F--k. But I never went ho-hunting in the Flats in the 80s and 90s. I was usually down there with friends, but I saw a lot of wild sh*t back then. I'm pretty sure we have a Flats memories thread around here because I've posted in it. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
July 8, 201014 yr ^East Coast girls are a lot more aggressive than Midwestern ones. I strongly disagree. they are more shallow that MidWestern girls, but on a whole as a person who spends a great deal of time in both. People in the Midwest are generally more "real" than East Coast people. MW peeps keep it real and do it real. EC people talk a lot of shit when you confront them, then back down like p-----s!
July 8, 201014 yr ^SO TRUE, for example I was talking to this one girl at the bar. Her and her friend were very cute and were like yeah were single and really into them. Conversation was going well and I got the cuter girls number, then I was like, so how are the guys in Boston, why are you single? They were like Boston guys suck this and that. Then I was like, maybe your doing something wrong or whatever. Then this chick tries to play tough and is like, I have a boyfriend and hes on his way, he wont like seeing you talk to me (I clearly hit a nerve with this girl) By this point I figured I wasnt going to bang this skank so I decide to play the jerk. So Im like, first off your a liar and/or a whore because you told me you were single and gave me your number and took mine down. Second the only reason I approached you is because your lace underwear was hanging out of your skirt and I thought youde be an easy fuck. This girls face went from "im a bad ass" to "omg im going to cry" in about .000001 seconds. DONT FCK WITH ME IM FROM CLEVELAND
July 8, 201014 yr "DONT FCK WITH ME IM FROM CLEVELAND" This should be a new t-shirt. I'd buy it. We'll need it after tonight!
November 5, 201014 yr I told you guys about the woman I met the 30th... She's great, she has big goals, she's beautiful, friendly, it's easy to have great conversations with her... but get this: We're conversating a few days ago and she drops the politics bomb on me. She says, "Did you vote for Obama?" Now, you guys know how heated I can get over politics but I played it cool and neutral. I said, "Yeah, I did but I'm a little dissapointed in him." Which is true. She goes, "I hate him." I said, "That's cool, if you ask me, the whole d@mn system is f--ked and hijacked by lobbyists and special interests so I hate most politicians..." (or something to that effect). She goes, "Do you like Glen Beck?" I laughed -- then said, "He's a little...overdramatic... I think he and his staff do a lot of good investigative reporting but I don't like the way he delivers it." The reality of course is that I CAN'T STAND Glen Beck because he's FAKE and he markets himself by pandering to a lowest common denominator. If I wanted to see a Republican cry, I'd watch John Boehner after someone teases him about his tan or asks him about one of his affairs. At least that's genuine! Anyway, so I played it cool and just said, "I think he's overdramatic but I think him and his staff do some good exposes. The stuff about George Soros was telling. Blah blah blah..." You know what she said to me after that? She goes, "I just went to his rally in D.C.!" Hoooo-haaah! I'm curious to know if something like that would be a deal-breaker for you guys? I know people on this forum are either liberal or just anti-bs in general. I see a lot of other positive things about this chick and it IS a little superficial to judge someone based on their political views......but wow!
November 5, 201014 yr Oh shi-- Total deal-breaker, for me. Besides, your real opinions would (most?) likely be a deal breaker for her.
November 5, 201014 yr Deal-breaker. It ain't gonna work, no matter how hard you try. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
November 5, 201014 yr I say stick it out. You in the "just getting to know you" / "lust" phase. You don't know her well enough to make a dump decision.
November 5, 201014 yr The fu<k he doesn't. Dump her. It'll save you tons of money that would've gone to dinners, gas, and 3-star hotels in Toronto. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
November 5, 201014 yr The fu<k he doesn't. Dump her. It'll save you tons of money that would've gone to dinners, gas, and 3-star hotels in Toronto. LOL! I say stick it out. You in the "just getting to know you" / "lust" phase. You don't know her well enough to make a dump decision. That's what I'm thinking. I can appreciate someone's opposing views. It makes life more interesting. A lot of my views are more conservative and I can find a lot of common ground but the whole Glenn Beck rally thing is just crazy to me.

November 5, 201014 yr I've been in unsuccessful relationship before because I was too self-involved. None of them lasted long at all. Whatever I thought was SUPERIOR! My way or the highway. Hell, I don't blame my ex-gf for cheating on me; my outook on that situation was "woe is me...I ended up with a wh*re"-- I didn't stop and think that maybe I was the problem. Live and learn.
November 5, 201014 yr I don't care how conservative she is, at least Boehner. And you win. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers

November 6, 201014 yr I'm going to Magic City tonight! ;D Make it rain. I wasn't talking about the Strip Club in Atlanta!! Strip clubs are for dirty old men. I've been to maybe 4 strip clubs in my life and Diamonds in Dayton was the only one that actually had people in my age group and women that didn't look like they had c-sections. The rest were like guys in their 50s desperate for love. They would give strippers all this money and the strippers sold them a very short dream in return. It's so damn depressing, those places.
November 6, 201014 yr Strip clubs, at least the nice ones, are fun venues where you can get lost in the illusion and have a crazy fun time
November 6, 201014 yr Like GCrites said, the blue-balls aren't worth it, imo. I got a lap dance from this Russian stripper at Diamonds and she was all grinding on my lap (dry-humping me while she was naked) for like 5 minutes in the Champaign room. I've never left a venue so p!ssed off in my life.
November 7, 201014 yr Well being gay, I never had to"make it rain" in a strip club. I've only gone for the food. N-T-Way. David, I think you see what this young lady has to offer.
November 7, 201014 yr I've only gone for the food. That's DanB's excuse when he gets seen there by his business associates. (I keed, I keed!!!)
November 7, 201014 yr David, I think you see what this young lady has to offer. I feel like Tom Cruise on Oprah!!
November 7, 201014 yr You should hit it first. Then right at the end scream 'Oh god, I love you Obama!!!!"

November 9, 201014 yr The other night I met a girl that doesn't know how to swim. I've always lived and played on the water so there might as well had been something growing out the side of her head given the reaction/look I gave her.
November 9, 201014 yr I'm dating someone right now that I secretly suspect is significantly more politically (and economically) leftist than me. I deal, but she isn't very overt with her opinions, so it's a different situation than David's. We've been going out for three months and haven't had a political conversation. Also, to the extent that I'm right that she's currently a little to the left side of the spectrum, I'm convinced that a combination of my own eloquent persuasion and economic reality will move her to the right once she finishes her M.B.A. and starts making a professional's salary. 8-) :-D

It'll all work out.

But then again, I don't know if I've ever seen an MBA who leans left, so you may end up being right.

David.. my advice to you dig a little deeper and find out if her opinions are of her own self-discovery or if it is what she grew up with. If its the first take AJs advice, and if it's the latter, there may be hope for her. It amazes me how many peoples political views are passed down and accepted without any thought if the parents beliefs really line up with the individual values. Though the Beck rally would be really hard to get past regardless.

The issue is whether she joins me. :-D   Also, it's not like I'm going to Beck rallies, either, so I'm probably not as conservative as the girl David has found (or at least not in the same ways).

November 10, 201014 yr David, c'mon. I mean, really..... how many times do you get to pull a right winger's hair and spank her on the arse? Compared to a left-wing nutjob woman, at least this girl has hair.

December 16, 201014 yr Yes, she's very cute but also shy. I am worried that she will not be able to pull herself away from her family and friends and come to a strange country.
