I agree, but I can't quite place my finger on why either. Maybe it's because getting off at the Adelbert Road HealthLine station it's hardly visible and off to the side of the library or because its longest facade has no entrance? I dunno. I guess I'll see when school starts and I use it. For one last semester. :p Interestingly now Thwing has classrooms.

I love the new CWRU building. I really like that it adds to the diversity of architecture in the area without looking out of place. I think it really compliments the Cleveland Museum of Art across the street. I like the Akron one compared to the old student center that was there, but it seems a bit generic to me. I'm not crazy about the combo of modern and brick. Different strokes, I guess.
August 14, 201410 yr ^ I agree about the new building. It respects it surroundings and does not overpower the other buildings. Fits in nicely on its lot and adds a nice diversity to the areas already diverse architecture.

Views also of the residentail hall going up, understandably getting thumbs down but maybe itll be alright once complete (viewable across Nobbys Ball Park)

Ultimately a four-year varsity letter winner in both cross country and track, James C. Wyant (CIT ’65) made a $4 million lead donation for a two-story, 24,000-square-foot building on the northeast corner of the Village of 115. That commitment catalyzed alumni, athletes and friends to contribute the remaining dollars to complete the $8 million project. On Thursday, the university community gathered to honor those contributors and watch Wyant and President Barbara R. Snyder perform the ceremonial ribbon cutting. October 14, 201410 yr A little blurb from the Case newspaper on the upcoming Natural History Museum renovations: History in the making Timmy Kuo/Observer October 9, 2014 You might be seeing a lot more natural history in the future. Announced in December 2012, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History declared plans to expand and renovate the pre-existing building. Glenda Bogar, associate director of communications said that the new project is still in the planning and fundraising stage; in March of this year they hired a project design team, including a team of architects. This team will be undergoing a series of intense workshops to plan with the space they have, and space where they can expand. Also under consideration are collections currently in storage and ways of incorporating those, although the collections are unfortunately not shared with the public yet. The goal for the project is to be completed in 2020, when the museum will be a hundred years old. October 17, 201410 yr CWRU's think[box] breaks ground on new $30m innovation center KARIN CONNELLY | FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2014 With fireworks, smoke machines and science experiments galore, Case Western Reserve University officials broke ground this week on the new home for think[box], an innovation center that will move to former Lincoln Storage Building, now known as the Richey-Mixon Building. CWRU's board of trustees voted unanimously last Sunday, October 12th to approve the renovations, having raised $25 million of the $30 million goal. Phase I is due to be completed in August 2015. Phase I will include renovations to the first four floors. A glass skyway will connect the athletic center to the new think[box] entrance. The first floor will be a community space with a bike station that will offer everything from bike parking to small bike repairs to a shower facility.
