Hey everyone,

I'm looking for old pictures of the Euclid Tavern in Cleveland.  City/County records show the building was built in 1906 and I've got nothing prior to 1959 by way of images.  I checked ClevelandMemory.org and found nothing.  Below are a few shots to get you going.  I'm looking for images of the original storefront/facade.

Thanks!

still have black "staff" tee shirt in good shape.

Honestly, Musky, with you?  I haven't a clue!

Thanks for the link, but I'm looking for further back.  Unless the 1959 picture contains the original facade, but I'd be surprised...

For me, the words "Euclid Tavern" and "memory" are an oxymoron of sorts, along the lines of "Coventry Beverage" and "healthy food".

Mapboy, if you feel adventuresome, swing on by to Cebars Euclid Tavern, on E.185 and ask for a member of the Cvelbar family. They owned the Euc, before selling to the guys from Peabody's.

I grew up with Tom, and they are a really nice family

so nice that you've been meaning to catch up yourself?  what a great idea!

well, I am in Chicago now, but next time I do a Cleveland drive by.  I usually swing by for a beer.  Some of the old Euc bartenders sling drinks there

god i spent the last five minutes trying to find a picture of the old 1 liter-esque glass OJ pitchers that they used for beer there, no luck

tropicana!

Played there.

Did everything but play there.

I'm going to miss the inch of "water" on the basement floor.

here are some pix of my old band curmudgeon playing inside it about 9 years ago...

I never thought twice about anything ever seen inside the Euc, just let it be.

The Euc on the silver screen:

^^^^ looks like they should have paid the band in cheeseburgers nine years ago...skinny guys!  lol   Unfortunately, the way I look now you would think the city pays ME with cheeseburgers!
