Posted July 19, 200717 yr Hey everyone, I'm looking for old pictures of the Euclid Tavern in Cleveland. City/County records show the building was built in 1906 and I've got nothing prior to 1959 by way of images. I checked ClevelandMemory.org and found nothing. Below are a few shots to get you going. I'm looking for images of the original storefront/facade. Thanks!
July 19, 200717 yr 1956! Sheesh, how old do you think some of us are? Found some here, but they don't look any older then wht you have. http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=%22Euclid%20Tavern%22&w=all
July 19, 200717 yr Honestly, Musky, with you? I haven't a clue! Thanks for the link, but I'm looking for further back. Unless the 1959 picture contains the original facade, but I'd be surprised...
July 19, 200717 yr For me, the words "Euclid Tavern" and "memory" are an oxymoron of sorts, along the lines of "Coventry Beverage" and "healthy food".
July 19, 200717 yr Mapboy, if you feel adventuresome, swing on by to Cebars Euclid Tavern, on E.185 and ask for a member of the Cvelbar family. They owned the Euc, before selling to the guys from Peabody's. I grew up with Tom, and they are a really nice family
July 19, 200717 yr well, I am in Chicago now, but next time I do a Cleveland drive by. I usually swing by for a beer. Some of the old Euc bartenders sling drinks there
July 20, 200717 yr god i spent the last five minutes trying to find a picture of the old 1 liter-esque glass OJ pitchers that they used for beer there, no luck
July 20, 200717 yr Played there. Did everything but play there. I'm going to miss the inch of "water" on the basement floor.
