Posted July 21, 200717 yr Just realized, we don't have a catch-all thread for extreme sports/recreation (skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX, mountain biking, cross country biking/skiing, and even downhill skiing/snowboarding). July 21, 200717 yr this on NBC currently and they are featureing/highlighting Clevelanders! The city looks awesome and they are raving how packed the city is and how enthusiastic the crowds are. The city is getting an awful lot of publicity!!
July 22, 200717 yr They also had it on USA late last night, and was taped while the sun was setting behind the cameras that had views of North Coast Harbor and the downtown skyline. Needless to say, with the very clear weather yesterday and the low sun reflecting off downtown, they were beautiful views shown to a national audience of young people. And downtown last evening was jammed with people, many looking around and pointing at stuff like it was the first time they'd seen this-and-that. I can only surmise they were from out of town (or from the exurbs!!). "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
July 22, 200717 yr The city looked awesome and they referred to different parts of downtown city by name, not just downtown.
