Dayton, Ohio - Ohio's 4th City

With a clear sky and beautiful weather, I thought it was time to revisit two of Dayton's vantage points for photographing the skyline.

no complaints here!

Beautiful shots!

Very nice! Easily Ohio's 4th best skyline, IMO.

Absolutely!!

Great shots!

Man I love Dayton's YMCA. I have to wonder if Springfield's YMCA was inspired by Dayton's as it was built 10 years later in a similar Spanish design.

Sharp photos!

Well, it ain't that hard.  Our only competition is Akron (with that nice Art-Deco tower) but other than that, who else?  Toledo? LOL!

Anywho, second shot is the best.  Great shots all around.

I really like that 3rd one.  The green really enhances the look of Dayton.  I've never been a big fan of Dayton's skyline, though.

Outstanding !!

Dayton: Toledo with a glorified creek instead of a bona fide river.

Toledo: Dayton without an airport.

Here is a shot of Toledo I took last year:

Coupled with a similar Dayton shot:

You have such an talent for bringing out the best in places.

I agree that the second shot is the best...I also have to say that these are some of my favorite Dayton skyline shots.  Great job.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Nicely done.

I'm still not used to that parking garage at Main and Monument being gone.

I think Toledo has the better skyline of the 2, but I really do like Dayton (city, skyline, university, etc)

I think Dayton looks best from 35 going West or the ramp from 75 North going to 35 East. Here's from the ramp.

I agree...especially about the ramp from 75 to 35 (although the 5/3 Tower is completely blocked by the former Mead Tower).  I still think it's my favorite vantage point.

I like the Rt. 35 view coming down from Smithville the best, as you can see all the tallest buildings.
