The Uptown Access Project should have been used as a justification to convert Taft and McMillian to two-way and to narrow Liberty as originally planned. Lost decade and whatnot.

Liberty traffic dropped considerably

Maybe they'll jump out of their cars and spend money if the cars are going faster.

The Deaconess Hospital and Shriners shut down during this time. Could have played a small role.

 

However UC added some new buildings and Christ expanded. So where did those 4,000-ish vehicles go?

Maybe more UC students and faculty living closer to campus and taking local roads instead of the highway?

That’s a BIG construction zone. I can imagine traffic getting busy on the interchange next 5 years, which seems like the on ramp isn’t even big enough from 71-S. We will see
