While trolling on Craigslist a few weeks ago, I found this guy who had this super-odd fetish. Basically, let's have sex while rolling around on my gun collection. I wish I had saved the photo... but alas:

^--- If you read the cover page of those bibles you will learn that they are provided by the Gideons International, which is a charity dedicated to providing hotel rooms with bibles. They are based in Nashville, Tennessee.

From their web site:

http://www.gideons.org/Splash.aspx

"Gideons praise the Lord for the opportunity to distribute Bibles and New Testaments in 188 countries. And the results of their efforts in hotel Bible distributions prove it. The first Gideon hotel distribution, back in 1908, was just 25 Bibles. In 2008, Gideons placed, or replaced, over one million hotel Bibles in the more than four million hotel rooms of the United Statesand almost as many full Bibles in other countries. Gideons have been setting this strong pace for a number of years."

"One-quarter of travelers surveyed by the hotel industry said they read the Bibles placed in their rooms by The Gideons."

"Scriptures are placed in certain locations, including:

Hotels and motels

Hospitals, convalescent homes, medical offices and domestic violence shelters

Prisons and jails"

I have noticed that there are, in fact, some hotels that do not have Gideon bibles. And no, I am not trying to preach to you. I remembered the name Gideon from a bible that I found in a hotel and I just now looked them up by searching "Gideon" on the internet. The internet is an amazing thing, and the more that I learn about the world, the more I find out I don't know.

Anyone have a problem with contacts giving you really dry eyes?  I have tried every type of contact in the book to no avail.  I use drops that alleviate the annoyance for about a minute.  I don't have dry eyes because when the contacts are out, my eyes are fine.  I have heard flax seed oil helps.  Any suggestions, eye docs?

I wear daily wear.  I cannot wear them more than 10 hours or my eyes start to burn.

I find the daily wear much easier to deal with than extend wear.  They are no mess and you don't need to buy any supplies you simple toss them.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Call your doctor and see if he/she can give you a start pair.  Ask for a set of weekly and daily.

The lenses also very in thickness.

4 1/2 days smoke free so far.  8-) I basically just told myself that I'm a weak little punk @ss bitch if I can't quit. It worked lol. I have no desire to do it even though I have cravings. I came too far to go back now.

My dad was active with the Gideons in our small town, especially with their prison ministry program.

Thank you.  My 85 yo mother continues to tell me to stop being immature.  I'll let her know.

You PAB, that was funny.  You set yourself up for that.

Bah... I don't think I like my new work schedule as much as I thought.  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 1:00 pm - 1:00 am so I can have 4 day weekends.  It's 5:15 right now and I'm still up.  I got real tired at the end of the day and one of my friends came in and said something ridiculous and I spewed Vernor's all over the keyboard.  What a huge mess it was to clean up.  My boss must think I'm crazy.

You sure that was vernors on the keyboard?  I know how you young guys are!

That Cleveland Tourism video has gone viral. It's already got 170k views.

Ok, I know this is random, but is the Ohio Highway Patrol part of the state police, or are they their own entity?

They are not a part of, they are the Ohio state police

Ohhhh haha ok. I was always confused about that while I lived in Chillicothe. I only lived there for a month but I remember wondering about them while driving on I-71 towards and away from Columbus.

Did you get confused when they said "toboggan," too?

tobbaggon? I should also note that I lived in Chillicothe during the John Parsons manhunt in '06. So there were cops allll over the place haha.

Isn't that what they call a hat (or winter hat)?

haha I don't remember.  I had many interesting encounters while living there though.  I attended Recording Workshop and there were some interesting times.

I think I've watched that video 100 times now, and it never gets old.

I'm pretty sure I saw "so goes it" in Lowes the other day trying to shoplift... He walked through the line and headed out the door without paying ...

Man, we had a yard sale yesterday and all was going well then this girl about 6 years old fell out of a second story window next door. Not on to a second story roof - just straight down to the ground. I had to witness it. I saw her fall and ran over there. At the same time,  her mom came outside yelling and some woman ran over with a phone and called an ambulance. Thank God she happend to land sideways on her arm. The ambulance came and paramedics said there was NOTHING serious wrong with her! I'm so glad.

She did go to the doc later to make sure though.

Channel 28 came over about 20 minutes later and knocked on their door - the mom didn't answer the door and obviously didn't want to talk about it. They came over to me and asked me what happend and I told the news reporter I wasn't going to talk about it because clearly the family next door doesn't want it broadcasted on the news. I could picture a bunch of people watching the news going "Where were the parents at when she fell!? Why didn't they secure the window? blah blah blah" yeah, well, ...sh!t happens.

What's messed up is after the mom came outside and was checking her daughter out to see if she could move her legs and stuff - some old woman walks up to me and is like "she shouldn't be doing all that, she should just be waiting for the paramedics to come". I'm like "yeah, except it's basically a mother's instinct after your child just FELL FROM A WINDOW THAT IS 20 feet FEET HIGH. You don't just stand there".

I swear, it's like people are obsessed with accusing people of being bad parents.

Yeah, but that woman was right.  After a fall like that, you should move the person as little as possible, instead of "checking" to see what they can still move.  Serious further damage can be done by improperly moving an injured person, or even allowing that injured person to move themselves.  This isn't a minor point.  Its probably the most important thing you learn in first aid classes- call 911 and don't move the person any more than you have to.

^ what he said.  Not only the most important thing, but one of the first things you learn.

David, did someone move you when you fell on your head?  That would explain a lot!

Shut up, midget.

Shut up, midget.

David, that is offensive.  How do you know Dan is a midget?  I think the correct term is "space efficient little person".  LMAO!

Shut up, midget.

Is that the best ya got?  Do you even need my assistance to form a good insult of me?

At the edge of the Hilltop there's a bunch of abandoned shopping centers. I mean hundreds of thousands of sq. ft. of empty commercial space and giant seas of parking lots. In one of the shopping centers there's actually an elementary school! In a shopping center! The playground is in the parking lot! I love re-use but that is just crazy. What is the world coming to? The kids will be skipping school and hanging out at AJ Wright and Dollar General.

That Hilltop beauty and nails sign/salon cannot be real!  Please tell me it's not real.  Please.  Pretty please.  Seriously.

It probably is.

The neighborhood is enormous. There's over 60k people in it. It has the potential to be a really great, diverse neighborhood but the business district is basically hollowed out. One of the sub-neighborhoods "Westgate" has some of the best housing stock in the city. Even the smaller houses are really unique and made with interesting materials. Only thing is Westgate lacks sidewalks in the finer areas. I need to take some pics of it, including the park with an obligatory shot of one of the dead goldfish floating on top of the pond. It's inevitable every time you walk past it lol.

A Flickr Guide to the Michael Jackson Auction

We thought we were over the postponed Michael Jackson auction, but then we saw comedian Paul Scheer's exhaustive photo collection on Flickr. If you're going to take a tour through the strangest collection of stuff ever to almost hit the auction block in Los Angeles, then you might as well have a "Best Week Ever" talking head as your guide. The photo above, by the way, is captioned "Michael as Peter Pan. This was on a mini golf cart."

There were alot of fascinating and very interesting items at the Julien's Michael Jackson Neverland Valley Ranch auction. Much better than Graceland and I am surprised that someone didn't purchase the whole lot to do just that. Not as much tacky stuff as you would imagine. The FX molds of his face are very different to say the least.

SON OF A...they closed down four school is Milwaukee this morning because we have 3 "probable" cases here and 100 "unconfirmed and/or pending" cases.  AND my boyfriend woke up yesterday with flu conditions that got worse today.  AHHHH!!!

They also closed st Felicitas in Euclid because someones mom thinks they have swine flu. Just a precaution until they get the test results back, but still pretty scary stuff

It seems more like an overreaction to me. A coworker of mine sneezed this morning, does that mean I can use a sick day tomorrow?
