Are you from there originally?  Anyway, gotta go do some real work now.  I'll be dreaming of eating Imo's for lunch......

Sorry, my time in Rocky River was brief.

Hell, MI.

Aren't you from NW Ohio????? ;)

Imo's? Really? I guess that cardboard with sauce and "cheese" is preferable to cardboard naturale.

For those of you not in the know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Louis-style_pizza

Yuck.That is gross.

I just had a problem with the pizza when I lived in Columbus (where this style is prevelant among the local shops, it's bad when you end up ordering Pizza hut), I couldn't imagine living in St. Louis. I am just a good Italian boy from the Youngstown-Warren area so I have some expectations from my pizza, mostly, you know things like taste...

Doc if that is what you are craving, I have a bunch of cardboard sitting at my house from my new kitchen cabinets and my kids have a ton of markers. I could draw you up a St. Louis style "pizza" and deliver it :)

It is REALLY nasty stuff.  It's not even good thin-crust.  Hell, I'll take Donatos over it.

Adriatico's is the bomb, fool!

Have you ever had it?  It is delicious.  Less bread and more toppings.  And the provel cheese gives an amazing creamyness mozzarella cannot impart.  Give me that with some toasted ravioli on the side....  Mmmm.....

That's not to say I don't like a thicker crust pizza.  My grandma's pizza recipe is a whole lot like Mama Santa's (in fact, my mother was shocked the first time I took her there to eat).

Imo's is just something I can't get here, and so when I am in St. Louis, it's on my must eat list.

Oh, and CDM, one more.  And if you can answer this, you have some splainin' to do.  What is the St. Louis slang term for Panera?

Adriatico's is the bomb, fool!

Agreed. But they were the exception with that oh so delicious thick-crust sicilian style.

Oh, and CDM, one more. And if you can answer this, you have some splainin' to do. What is the St. Louis slang term for Panera?

Perhaps you should ask him a different question, he could easily find the answer here.

You mean the St. Louis Bread Company?  Bread Co. ;)

Has anybody else ever dreamed of having the perfect pizza by taking the best elements from your favorites? Like the crust fron shop A, Sauce from shop B, etc etc.

I don't click Cleveland threads!  Actually, I knew Bread Co. because I had a friend that worked in the St. Louis' downtown Bread Company location and they told me it was headquartered near that Galleria of yours.  But I don't care for Panera so that's the only way I knew it.  Also, you all in Missourah have Jack-N-the-Box!  And now...a Harold's Chicken!  God bless those Roberts Brothas!

I have, and it's called Uno's.

Bah, I felt like maybe I had mentioned that recently, but I couldn't remember.  Silly me.

Oh, and Jack-in-the-Box is delicious, but only on occasion cause it's so rediculously greasy.

You know what else St. Louis has that I totally don't get (and am glad this fad hasn't hit C-Town)?  Entire miniature city developments.  Like Crocker Park on crack.  See example here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Town,_Missouri.  I flew over this particular development when I was headed into STL last, and the townhomes there have smaller yards than mine.  I live downtown, you live 18 miles from downtown.  WTF?!?!?  They build banks, schools, grocery stores, and whatever else, and people flock to them.  I don't get it.

Well, I'll give St. Charles credit for that (and their casino buffets!) for attempting urbanism.

Yes.  I just have to visit jersey and go to Family's or Enzo's.  The pizza shops in central PA can't even try to compare save for one.  Bart's in Williamsport is the closest to jersey pizza I have had.

Chapter 34 Verse 15 of the Book of Ecclesiatics

And he descended from the mountain bearing waffle fries and a 3 piece chicken strip meal.  And as he dipped a piece of chicken into his holy sauce he looked unto me and said, "Dear child, the craving for chicken is great and many places for dining must be established bearing unto the world the holy goodness that is the chicken.  But you must not tend shop on Sunday for that is the day of rest.  And the lord shall smile upon the mass slaughtering of chickens that bear no likeness to common hens.  All of this is your task young disciple, may you go in peace. Amen."

As far as chicken goes, I do love Chick-fil-a, because their chicken is tender and juicy. Plus, their Spicy Chicken is ACTUALLY spicey. I don't live anywhere near Chick-fil-a though; they're all in the suburbs and  I usually only go there when I hang out with my cousin in Westerville.

I know Chris hates B-Dubs but I love their variety of wings. Must be from being around Japanese in my family lol, I love Teriyaki wings and theirs are really good. I drench each one in ranch; it's siiinnfully good! One time I went there and a fight broke out at 50 cent wing night. It was crazy.

I never liked Lees; I don't know if it's because of the one I went to (I lived in Pleasant Ridge and it was in Norwood). Place was dirty and I wasn't impressed with the chicken. Their Mac n' Cheese really sucks.

Overall, I'd say Popeyes is my favorite. The chicken is better than KFC's and their green beans and mashed potatoes are top notch.

I haven't been to a Barber Shop in a long time but I just went to Niko's in German Village. I used to just cut my own hair but kinda got tired of it and wanted someone else to do it. Plus, you get to talk with guys in Barber shops about stuff you would never get to say in some chain hair salon. I used to go to hair salons and get my hair cut by women but I don't think they do nearly as good of a job as even I could do with two mirrors in my bathroom and a set of clippers or scissors. Considering how much easier/quicker it usually is to cut most guys' hair with clippers, they should at least clean up the back of your neck. I used to always have to tell them to do that. Ridiculous. That's like common sense for any dude that's looked at the back of their neck when they realize they need a hair cut.

And if you're a dude and don't pay attention to stuff like that, I'm telling you, if you clean the lines/thickness of your sideburns and clean the lines on the back of your neck about once a week, you will always look like you have a fresh hair cut.

I never realized it but I could probably make a lot of money on the side, just cutting my friends' hair. If you can cut your own hair well, you can cut anybody's.
