The Blacklist is currently my favorite show on TV. I think Spader's work is masterful in this series. He's pulled out acting chops I didn't even know he had, and I've always thought he was good.

E Rocc, Meet the is Goldbergs actually is pretty good, the writer basically spent his childhood taping his family with a camcorder. Most of the episodes are fleshed out stories based on actual footage shown at the end of the show. It's still a sitcom but much better than most of the current crap.

She does a great if low key job too.  Spader's performances seem to challenge everyone else to keep up.  The husband does well too, just off enough to be believable about not quite being what he seems.

 

iTunes is only a day behind the broadcast schedule.

I knew a guy who did a lot of Flash work & he made up a Flash file that looked like a co-workers desktop but set up the icons to move away from the cursor as it got near.

For any Clevelander, Browns fan, sports fan or business fan who likes wheeling and dealing, you should go see Draft Day. I saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. Lots of great Cleveland-area scenes with Sonny Weaver Jr (Costner) taking the most circuitous route from home (below the Bridge Building in Rocky River to work at the Browns HQ in Berea)! :) It was an opportunity to show off lots of Cleveland scenes, though.

 

As for the movie itself, this review pretty well nailed it IMHO.....

 

Draft Day Movie Review: Anticipation for the Real Day

Draft Day. We, as Browns fans look forward to it every year. We throw watch parties just to see our future player get announced in a matter of seconds. Then we can cheer, boo, or shout "what are they thinking?!" when the pick is official. The movie captured this perfectly. The draft is a little less than a month away, and I cannot wait.

 

I won’t spoil the ending or how the draft in the movie plays out, so feel free to keep reading. I think this is must see for NFL fans who appreciate the wheeling and dealing when it comes down to making that important pick for the future of your franchise. A must see for all Browns fans because it portrays a certain commemoration for a sport that Cleveland absolutely appreciates. If you’re looking for something other than that in this movie, you’re not going to find it. But I’ll admit it, this review may come off as a little biased because I’m a sucker for seeing my beloved team and city on the big screen.

 

The story takes place a little over 12 hours before the draft. Sonny Weaver Jr. (Kevin Costner) is the General Manager of the Browns and has the 7th pick of the draft. Seattle has the 1st pick (didn’t they just win the Super Bowl?) and is looking to trade the pick away to someone desperate. Bam! Right after they say that, a panorama shot over Lake Erie of First Energy Stadium and the city of Cleveland is shown on the screen. The movie does a nice job of showing how big of a football town Cleveland is and our struggles we had to endure as an expansion team brought back in 1999.

GENERAL RETAIL/RENTAL QUESTION

 

I am looking for a company that rents out picnic tables. Not the generic one piece kind made out of plastic and aluminum.... we need the authentic wooden kind. I'm guessing at this point somewhere around 20.

 

I have not had any success finding a place that supplies these based solely on internet searches. My next step will be to actually call the usual party rental suspects. But I thought I would reach out to my UOers first.

 

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I don't know anywhere to rent the wooden tables...... but I do know you can rent out picnic areas in the metroparks whcih would have that kind of seating capacity.  In the Euclid Creek reservation, there is a nice, somewhat off-the-beaten-path (not along the main drag) picnic area where we had a graduation party last year.

I'm dying to know, if you can share, why you would want to rent picnic tables specifically instead of a) other types of tables/chairs or b) going somewhere where there are already tables in this number. Sorry I don't have a source.

The projects were the lakeview terraces at the end of W.25h st.

 

which "can be" on the way from rocky river to the gas station by the flat iron he fuels up/takes a phone call at on his way to?  FES/CBS?  certainly not in between berea and rocky river.

 

Maybe there was a "kevin mackey" moment that got cut out of the movie.

Absolutely not.  Just like you, I look forward to its decision granting equal rights to all people, regardless of sexual orientation.  I look forward to it smacking down Oklahoma for its discriminatory approach to religious displays in public spaces.  I really like it when the Court strikes down laws from bat-sh!t crazy states like Texas who want to criminalize what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedroom and I eagerly anticipate it doing the same with North Carolina's law criminalizing the exercise of a minister's right to officiate a wedding.  No need to worry.  You will soon be able to leave Babylon..... errrrr, I mean NYC..... for greener pastures and not have to worry about getting thrown in jail for your daily activities.
