April 4, 200817 yr Too bad Wendy O died. I'll never forget her shaving cream performance (for those of you too young to remember, she performed one of the Plasmatics' songs on TV wearing a G-string and some shaving cream on her nipples. As she danced around, the cream fell off. It left quite an impression on me as a teenager!). The Plasmatics also appeared on Second City Television. I can't remember the guy's name who had the log cabin and hosted musical acts, but Wendy O took a chainsaw to the cabin and disassembled the thing. It was awesome. April 5, 200817 yr I hate when college girls say they're a feminist, at parties. I've heard it many, many times and each time, I can't help but say I can't stand most feminists which becomes a total buzzkill and ruins the conversation and potential hookup. I don't think women should have unequal rights, I just think American capitalistic culture robs women of their femininity and devalues the traditional role of women/feminitity and its importance. But anyway, me expressing my views basically ruined my chance with this reaally hot DAAP girl tonight which made me reflect back on the worst things I've ever said to girls at parties while in an intoxicated state. They include: 1) Me: SO what's your name? Girl: Hailey Me: No way,you serious? That's my dog's name! 2.) Me: Oh really, where do you work? Girl: Fifth Third Bank Me: Do you guys get robbed a lot?! 3.) Girl: (in slu++y minimalist outfit during winter) Hey! Me: Hi, I'm Self-Respect, have we met? Bah!

April 10, 200817 yr Changing subjects...I'm in love with this tripod: Item description: The Gitzo GT5560SGT Giant Systematic 6X Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs is a giant tripod that uses advanced "Carbon 6X" carbon fiber material for its leg construction. This improved tubing is stronger, lighter and as resistant as its 12 layer predecessor. Carbon "6X" is manufactured using a complex, 3-D process weaving 6 layers of carbon fiber into smooth, solid constructed tubes. Also known as the Tele Studex, the GT5560SGT is designed for "over head level", offering extra flexibility in the studio or at weddings, concerts and sport events. It can reach an extreme height of 8.5' (2.6 m). Systematic tripods have a unique ultra wide top platform that guarantees an incredibly stable base for any professional high performance equipment. This platform can be removed and replaced with other accessories, making this a fully customizable system. All this for a mere $970.
April 10, 200817 yr $970??? Wow, I actually thought it would be more. Like a few grand. That is pretty sweet. <<300th post!! Yay

April 10, 200817 yr Chrono Trigger (クロノ・トリガー, Kurono Torigā?) is a console role-playing game developed and published by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System video game console. It was released on March 11, 1995 in Japan, and August 22, 1995 in North America. The game's story follows a group of young adventurers who travel through time to prevent a global catastrophe. Chrono Trigger was developed by a group that Square called the "Dream Team", consisting of Hironobu Sakaguchi, Kazuhiko Aoki, and composer Nobuo Uematsu—known for their works on the Final Fantasy series—and Yuuji Horii and artist Akira Toriyama, developers for the Dragon Quest series.[1] Masato Kato wrote most of the plot, while composer Yasunori Mitsuda scored most of the game before falling ill and deferring his duties to Uematsu.[2][3] Nintendo Power magazine described certain aspects of Chrono Trigger as revolutionary, including its multiple endings, plot-related sidequests focusing on character development, unique battle system, and detailed graphics.[4] Square re-released a ported version by TOSE in Japan for the Sony PlayStation in 1999, later repackaged with a Final Fantasy IV port as Final Fantasy Chronicles in 2001. It has never been released in PAL territories.

April 11, 200817 yr >thing and leave the checkout counter they've already come out with a more efficient composite material, rendering your tripod obsolete! The thing with the tripod business is one hand tells you to buy heavier tripods and the other the fancy new carbon fiber ones. For example, I've got a $120 tripod that is supposedly only for 35mm cameras, but I use it several times a month for medium format and yes my 4X5 view camera. It works perfect. A salesman would say that tripod can't support a 4X5 camera, that I need some outrageously heavy tripod. But then in the next sentence try to sell you a lighter carbon fiber tripod. >$970??? Wow, I actually thought it would be more. Like a few grand. That is pretty sweet. Video and motion picture tripods are much more expensive because of the precision pan heads, usually thousands. I've got a $150 (Monfrotto 410 I think) geared head I use for everything, again bucking tripod orthodoxy.

April 13, 200817 yr I see where they were going, but I agree, it came off a bit corny. Okay story. So I've been up late since exams are this week. I was working on a studio planning project at my friends place until about 4:30 a.m. I get home and the back door is standing open, but the house is dark. Now, we have this gorgeous 44 inch plasma tv, ripe for theft so I proceed with caution. It's incredibly rare my housemates forget to lock the door since we even lock it when we are home. Anyway, I make my way to my room which is right of the living room. My room is kind of a mess lately, and I trip, as I get up there someone I've never seen before! I scream WTF! and we basically shove each other real panicked. He falls back, glass breaks. I finally turn my lights on. I didn't know who the hell this guy was but it turns out he's my housemate's older brother. Asside from a small cut, no one was seriously hurt lol.\ I had made the statement earlier that day i was probably going to be up all night and not home until morning. I also stated months ago my room was open for friends to stay if I was gone. My bad!

April 15, 200817 yr Robert Hanson Harrison (1745 – April 2, 1790) was an American jurist. Harrison began the American Revolutionary War as a lieutenant in the 3rd Virginia Regiment of the Continental Army. In 1775 he became an aide-de-camp to General George Washington with the rank of lieutenant colonel. The next year he succeeded Joseph Reed as military secretary to Washington, and served in that role until 1781. Prior to the war Harrison was Washington's chief lawyer. He served as a judge in Maryland from 1781 to 1789, but he declined to serve on the United States Supreme Court. In the U.S. presidential election of 1789, Harrison, a de facto member of the Federalist Party, received 6 electoral votes. Harrison died in Charles County, Maryland. His parents were Richard Harrison, a member of the Maryland legislature, and Dorothy Hanson. He was married twice, and had two daughters, Sarah and Dorothy.
