LOL! That's going in the favorite quotes!

And it's equally applicable to Forrest Gump OR Rudy!

I'm the boss.  I have meetings in my office.  I'm in a meeting right now.  They talk, I listen, approve or deny.  I can do that.  I delegate very well and I have an assistant who is like a pitbull so when i don't want to be bothered nobody gets in, not even my boss.

Start by fumigating your lousy roommates' room. With him in it.

I need to find something that kills not only roaches but giant leeches as well.

And I kinda wanna watch Jake and the Fatman, and maybe a little Murder She Wrote

Just stomped out a roach the other day.  Although the biggest problem was spiders.  We had a few and did nothing about it since they took care of the ant problem, then there was close to a hundred.  They say you are never more than 6 feet from a spider, but there was one on my computer screen.  After smashing all of them, the problem was resolved.  Just destroy all insects with force David!

^Damn, I cannot stand spiders. I'd rather go head to head with a snake over a spider.

The midwest has it made. The only snake you'll more than likely run into is a grass snake or a garter and with spiders, orb weavers or wolf spiders ... in the south, you can easily step on a water moccasin in your own yard.

I was riding my bike through a trail one day and almost ran over a copperhead (down south). I literally had to stop, hope he passes the trail without giving me shit. There was an old bucket turned over one time and I flipped it over to find a huge black widow ... it was the only one I have ever seen in my life.

Here we can walk through creeks and whatnot without worrying about anything, in the southeast/midsouth that's suicide.

Luckily we have forumer in the pest control field.

>I was riding my bike through a trail one day and almost ran over a copperhead (down south). I literally had to stop, hope he passes the trail without giving me sh!t.

When I visit my parents in Tennessee, almost every time I hike in the nearby parks I have a run-in with a venomous snake.  They're everywhere.  I like being in Ohio and being able to zone out when hiking, but down there you have to be paying attention all the time.  I've stepped within a few feet of rattle snakes without realizing...but there's no mistaking the sound of that rattle even if you've never heard it before in real life.

Also about two years ago I saw something neon green crossing the trail...upon closer inspection it was a boa constrictor.  When people let their exotic pets go they live at least for awhile down there and of course in Florida they've taken off.

Also, Tennessee has wild turkeys all over the place.

Roach control:

Clean Kitchen EVERY NIGHT (roaches love food).

Store ALL food in AIRTIGHT containers (did I mention roaches love food).

Fix leaky faucets, mop up all spills (roaches love water).

Cultivate a population of basement centipedes (they love roach eggs).

Boric acid boric acid boric acid (it works its way into the roaches' joints and they literally grind themselves to death. FU*K YEAH)!

Kill on sight (KILL KILL KILL).

Keep your place "a girl is coming over" clean (girls hate roaches AND SO DO I)!

Repeat.

Awesome, thanks. They aren't that bad yet, hopefully I can get rid of all of 'em quickly. I enjoy running around killing them.

Oh and what is boric acid?

>Keep your place "a girl is coming over" clean

Yeah well I've come to know a few young women whose living situation doesn't advertise their domestic prowess..

Oh and what is boric acid?

It's a powder that you sprinkle under the sink, around baseboards and wherever you see the little fuc*ers coming and going. You can get it at a hardware store or any place that sells pest control stuff. It's pretty safe unless it somehow finds its way into your roommates' stomach.

There's also this:

I've lived in my apt for 2.5 years and only seen one roach.  But what a roach!  This thing must have been King Roach!  I saw him running on my floor and I said, "Get out of my apartment!".  It turned towards me, looked me in the eye and said, "You get out of MY apartment."  We commenced to fighting.  I won't lie, The Roach King got in a few good blows, but in the end I triumphed, once again king of my apartment food chain (which goes me -> beef ravioli -> mustard).  I have not seen a roach since that frightful night.  Till now I had thought the din of battle and fall of their champion had scared them off, never to return.  But apparently its just that the centipedes I have in abundance are eating all their eggs.  Alas, alas.

X, in your marvelous food chain list, you forgot to mention marijuana, which you've got to stay away from if you don't want to keep seeing dog-sized roaches anymore.

Awesome post, BTW!

Thanks, I've been reading the Illiad and I'm all juiced up.  And there aren't even any illegal substances in my food chain!  Just canned goods and condiments.

X v. Cockroach battle. That would make for a great youtube video.

A friend of mine said something similar to this to me recently ...

A friend of mine recently moved to ATL and this is around the time when the tornado went through ATL. I saw the damage and was a little worried and thought that he might have been affected by it. So, I emailed him and asked if everything was ok... he responded:

"Na, I'm fine. I turned and looked the tornado in the face and said: Nado' get the f*ck outta here... and it did."

Am I the only guy who exaggerates how sick I am to women? "I keep coughing and sneezing, im going to diiieeeee !!" D@mn I love sympathy.

One dead and 280 quarantined on Canadian train By Frank Pingue and David Ljunggren

TORONTO/OTTAWA (Reuters) - One person died and about 280 were placed in quarantine aboard a cross-Canada train on Friday after a mystery illness caused violent flu-like symptoms.

Police spokesman Marc Depatie told CTV television that seven passengers who boarded the VIA Rail train in the Rocky Mountain resort of Jasper, Alberta, had fallen ill, and one, a 60-year-old woman, had died. Another passenger had been airlifted to hospital.

I remember one of our dormitory buildings was quarantined at U of M for people with stomach flu.  They honestly had it coming though, since most people know how to keep their hallways clean.  The hall in particular where it originated was disgusting.  The RA of that hallway was relieved of their position for not asking his residents to keep the hallway clean and failing to report the illness to the university (being fully aware people were extremely sick in his hall)

One of my grandmas is in her 70s but she works, takes classes on how to write in Japanese, takes care of her son Jolly Rancher (pug) and walks around her city an hour a day for good health! And she has a camera which means I get awesome pics of Yokohama and Tokyo. She's an awesome photographer --How great is this first photo?

I would never have guessed that the first photo was Japan.  It looks more like Canada or maybe a modern European development.

I checked back and made sure that wasn't one of the photos she took in Europe but it's definitely Japan, particularly Yokohama. Japan is full of surprises.

Edit: Just talked to her. That McDonalds/Dennys is actually right in her neighborhood. Also, the neighborhood Toyota dealership is located INSIDE the first and second floor of the office building in the third pic. You can see some of the cars in the pic if you look closely.
