It's amazing some of the questions that get asked of strangers when Google is right there at their disposal!  It's one thing to ask if you liked it!

I know.. Some folks get sucked in with "price" without having been.  I've noticed most restaurants have better portions and better service, now that people are not eating out as much.

I don't know Leisure Suit mans financial status, so what I think is moderate, he may think is expensive.  That's why I suggest looking at the website so he can make his own determination.  If its a special occasion, I say go for it.  But leave the Leisure Suit at home.

Clevelands restaurants are very good and not as expensive as the NYC, Miami or LA counterparts.  Restaurants is one area where we can hold our own without having too many "star" chefs or celebrity chains.

British panel OKs 'No God' bus ads

By Al Webb, Religion News Service/USA Today, January 22, 2009

LONDON — Rejecting protests by Christian groups, Britain's advertising watchdog agency has given the go-ahead to a campaign to plaster atheist signs on hundreds of buses and other vehicles across the country.

The Advertising Standards Authority ruled that the campaign, which uses the slogan "There's probably no God," was unlikely to mislead or "cause serious or widespread offense."

If you know the LS, you know the man.  MTS is no freaking stranger, Danny Boy.  And I did google it, prices are not listed.  And I bloody know he likes it.

Oh fine about $50-60 per person.

We do have two people that work there on the board that could be of help.

Woahh I just realized that I have been a member of this forum for two years as of the 3rd of this month. I think my interests would definitely be different if I didn't find this site.   And that is crazy Sherman, that's a lot.

I just realized that I have been on this board almost 4 years to the day this week.  It has definitely shaped my interests, and my college major.

Much obliged.  Well within budget.

Remember.  Leave the Leisuer Suit at home and shave the chest.  My spies will tell me if a patron shows up in a LS!

This is done all the time by the other side.  Some of their billboards are downright threatening.

I have encountered atheists who flaunt their atheism with the same zeal that other extremists publicly profess their Christianity or Islam. Anti-religious fanatics, if you will; a mirror image of what they reject.

Perhaps, but it would be pretty ironic if humanists began slaughtering their opponents.

^Yes, both sides of the coin are abhorrent.  However, I find it even worse the lunatic Christians who run around this country because they have a much larger influence.  And while I am not speaking for Californians or Washingtonians, I have never personally encountered an anti-religious nut chiding me for not knowing the "truth."  Hell, they have intervened into school children's understanding of basic science.  Furthermore, Ken Blackwell was the SOS of OH and almost leader of the GOP.  I think we should take all of them and put them on some deserted island with all of the other [insert other religion] fanatics.  I would love to see an epic battle and have the "winner" thank god/allah/Yahweh for the victory.

Quite right.

Tbl 45 --- entrees $20-$30 unless you want the 14 oz lobster tail.

--- appetizers and/or salads $8-$12 minus a few outliers

--- cheapest wines $7 a glass, but for most wines the $8 per glass wine is MUCH tastier.

--- desserts $8 each. Most are big enough to share.

It's not any more expensive than any other upscale trendy restaurant like Lola. There is some sort of silly valentines day menu as well, but that looks sort of expensive.

^Grazie, OG.

Stay away from the scallops.  they disappointed me. :|

That building gets used everywhere! Hall of Justice, random hippy band posters...!

Any Ohio U grads?  What the hell do you put down for the Address of it?  Ohio.edu only says "Ohio University, Athens, OH 45701."  Do you put Chubb's address?

Nm, I called and the woman said you have to list it by department, ie Chubb.

This isn't fun any more! :x

The December ice storms did about $3,500 damage to my rental property ($1,000 deductible insurance) and about $750 damage to my residence (also $1,000 deductible), and then the ensuing cold snap ran up some unprecedented heating bills. Then we had a few days of faux spring that melted all the accumulated snow.

Now we've had about a day and a half of torrential rain on top of frozen ground, and the river came up and the ice went off all at once and the water is still rising rapidly. In a few hours the temperature has dropped from 57 to 35 and is still falling, and the wind is blowing at around 40mph, gusting to the high fifties. Gusts are expected to exceed 60mph tonight.

I thought the ice storm and ensuing winds would have given the trees all the pruning they needed, but I'm occasionally hearing stuff fall. I don't expect to get flooded, but I think people at the low end of the block might see some problems by morning. Weather-wise, the worst should arrive soon.

^Man, I was 2004.

I never really thought about University addresses, despite that I sort the mail for a fairly large building on the University of Michigan's campus.

This isn't fun any more! :x

yeah my street (Claremont Ave.) is a wind tunnel aimed at the Hudson.  I saw a poor lady trying to walk her 2 kids down the sidewalk and she was making no progress at all, walking in place almost.

that's the Manhattan valley for you.  It's like that from 90 Street all the way up to 168 I believe.

In that area the street are N/S to avoid that.

I remember leaving a party on 135 St at like 2 AM.  I took on step out of the build and was blown a block. It was like I was running. The wind was soooooooo strong, it blew me all the way to Amsterdam Ave.

A couple of times I've run or biked to riverbank park and when its windy it's very unpleasant.

Anyone else think there is an influx of Ohio politicians who are perceived as morons across the nation?  Note, this is not a partisan thing, so before one gets all hot & bothered, keep in line with the spirit of my observation.

Austria

Kucinich, not lately, but when he runs for President

Voinovich, calling Obama a socialist

Boehner, crusty square constantly dissing the stimulus bill

Based on principle, I'd say Blackwell when he was running for the GOP chair.  However, he did not really do anything the national media percieved as dumb.

Anyone else I am forgetting?

I'd throw in the fisherman who went out on the lake in 50 degree weather, but they're obviously not politicians.

HEY HEY, it got some exposure didn't it?  I saw that on CNN in the background at a restaurant with my family and was able to have a five minute Ohio gush fest.

i saw this and it skeerd me.

I'm going to email that to my brother right now!  LOL  He'll probably start crying!  Yes!!

You're funny.  You claim its not partisan, then 80% of your examples are Republicans.

I love Circus Liquor!  That's in LA!

Dan, I implore you to really quit seeing everything thru the D/R prism.  If it were Strickland on TV always railing against anything the president was doing, I would include him.  If it were Rich Cordray who was said FDR initiated the GD, I would include him.

The only mistake I might have made was not including Marc Dann.  I did not include him because I have never seen his ugly face on any of the major news networks.

what the hey -- the circus liquor link disappeared? even more creepy!

Pali, I implore you to stop thinking that every Republican or conservative is an idiot!

If you weren't being partisan, you WOULD have mentioned Dann, or how about Traficant?  Or maybe Judge Resnick?

I'd vote for Traficant again.  At least he was open about knowing the mob guys.  He was the sheriff of Youngstown, he had to know the mob guys, and to some extent deal with them.  It would have been great to just take em all down, but that wasn't a realistic possiblity then.  It isn't now either, though they're greatly diminished.  He gave like a 20 minute speech about that.  Said their gene pool was down, way down, and all kinds of other inflammatory stuff.  On his way to prison.  I can't say anyone representing Ohio, from either side, has that kind of balls right now.  We need people to stir things up.

One insane Traficant plan was to make Youngstown a port by digging out most of Ashtabula County and half of Trumbull for a new bay.  They did a huge model of it that used to be in the entrance of the Maag Library at YSU.  Might still be there.  I don't want that done, but they'd never let him do it anyway.

I'd still vote for him though.  The 711 freeway was his baby and it was badly needed.  He made things happen.  Cleveland got that courthouse and that's been about it recently.  LaTourette has done more to get/keep jobs here than anyone, but it's a different everything now.  Somebody from around here needs to step up.  I like Tim Ryan and Brunner and PLJ.  Armond Budish is another good one.  We need him to get us some Columbus money and it looks like he will.  Overall, we just need some new people to come in and create positive Ohio associations.

^  I think the economy is largely at fault for that.  It just surprises me more how crazy the crimes can be.  They just sentenced one dude to jail for throwing boiling grease on a neighbor that had his TV up a bit too loud.  I hope this behavior isn't in my blood coming from there lol.

Speaking of violence, I'm surprised the Rhihanna / Chris Brown mess never got posted over here.

^Let me clarify that I don't care and that I hate celebrity crap.  With that being said, it goes without saying that C Brown is a piece of garbage.  Also, and maybe this is pathetic of me, but part of me also thinks poorly on Rihanna.  I say this because it is likely not the first time this has happened, and I would venture to guess that she'll get back with him.  (Maybe I do care?)

British and French nuclear submarines have collided in the Atlantic. 250 soldiers lives at stake.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2240543.ece

According to the cited article, the incident occurred around February 3 or 4 and both vessels are back in port. The British sub was towed to Scotland and the French sub returned home under its own power.

Reading your post, one might have concluded that this was a crisis of the moment, with 250 sailors still trapped on submerged, wrecked submarines, a la Kursk.

my apologies. i couldnt really gather from the story if both subs had been retrieved and all the soldiers were ok. that and the story has broke 12 days after the fact.

Can you expand on this any?  I was aware of unrest there, but not the extent or the cause.

Here is a jist of what i'm talking about. Surprisingly CNBC has been chatting a bit about it today.

Also, notice as well what gold and silver have done the past four weeks despite a strengthening dollar. If your looking for a winner i'd get in on silver. Huge upside.

I just saw a car that hit the ihop in Lakewood. Good times! Made a right turn off of Detroit into the dining room.
