I just bought four tickets to Thursday's game. We are going with a group of 19 people.

Looks like a FourSquare swarm! LOL

^ Butler has sold about 5K in pre sales alone. That game may be close to sold out, if not sold out. However, they still curtain off half of the arena. Valop had about 3K in pre sales, and i expect a big walk-up crowd if the weather permits. I will be there both games with people as well.

I'm now bringing about 10-15 people to this game. The plan is to pregame in Little Italy, then take the Euclid Corridor down.

When you say, :... the Euclid Corridor...", do you mean to say, you'll be riding the HealthLine BRT to and from the game? he he he he

so awesome.

This Saturday I'm bringing a fresh crowd of newcomers...about 8-12 people.

Best ticket in town if you ask me. $15.00 and sat right behind Valpo's bench and saw a great game with major implications. Oh, and the players bucked up and gave maximum effort..unlike the team down a few blocks down prospect.

Come on down Saturday all!!!

CSU is the headliner today on today's PD sports page with a huge color picture, game story, and Terry Pluto weigh in--and rightfully so.

The hometown paper finally put the in front of OSU (including their win over Michigan last night ) and any Cavs chatter.

Don't forget to wear black. If you don't, be prepared to buy some black gear from the CSU Bookstore concessions. Say hi to Keith (me).

Or be early and get a free shirt!

Let's go Vikings!

I'll be there! Got me some tix yesterday

Game is completely sold out. We did not have tickets for the 15 people I brought. So we had to go to a nearby bar.

^Becky's

I hope they can get back in this!

God d@mnit! I cant stand the feeling of losing, which I have to deal with in every sport every year. Hopefully these guys finish the season strong! Lets go 2011 Browns! Again Ill end up with the same feeling

Why couldn't they remove the curtain for more seating? There were a lot of people who couldn't get in today

^ I think there are a lot of reasons, but probably the biggest one (as I understand it) is that the tickets sold through Ticketmaster and the CSU ticket office have to match up with the way the arena is laid out (section/row/seat/price, etc.) and you can't sell tickets for seats that "don't exist" based on how the arena is currently set up. Basically the seats behind the curtain "don't exist" in the system, at least for CSU basketball events.

Hopefully, if they keep winning and drawing like this, they might drop the curtain permanently.

Dont worry about this game. Waters will have them re-focused. They are still in first place in the conference and control their own destiny. THey need to step and win Monday...GO VIKES..wish the sellout crowd had something to cheer about.

That was some truly awful officiating. I'm not trying to excuse poor offensive play on CSU's part-- we couldn't hit layups and everyone but Cole stood around-- but the refs were so bad it was distracting. At least one 5-point swing went Butler's way.

^Awesome numbers.

The next week will decide their fate. Win the next two..back on the bubble. lose the next two...dont even bother wacthing the final week...its all about the horizon league tourney and if Cole has the heart of a champion...he will have to do what he did today to get CSU through.

Seriously, 20 rebounds from a six ft. one inch point guard. The entire team had 41.

Unfortunately I think they will need to win the horizon tourney to get an invite. An at large isn't likely.

74-72 Cleveland State!

Gutsy effort. That keeps them a full game up on Butler for second which is a big deal the way the HL Tourney is structured.

^ actually!

Cleveland State tops Wright State, regains first place in Horizon League

FAIRBORN, Ohio -- Some of the fans came to see a Norris Cole party near his hometown of Dayton. They got a block party instead from another homeboy -- 6-9 junior Aaron Pogue, who lifted Cleveland State to a 74-72 victory over Wright State Wednesday night to regain first place in the Horizon League.

With no WSU post player carrying more than 220 pounds the 265-pound Pogue had his way, scoring 13 of his career-high 18 points in the second half when the Vikings were keeping the Raiders at bay. He capped the game off with the night's pivotal play, sprinting back after a CSU turnover and blocking a Raiders shot that could have closed WSU within one with 3:27 left...

Guys, Valpo lost last night. Does this mean the Horizen League tournament could still be held in Cleveland if both teams win out in the league? Who holds the tiebreaker??

Heres the deal: If Valpo and CSU both win out...Valpo gets the tiebreaker most likely because we tied head to head, but the next best team (most likely Butler)...Valpo split with, while we lost both. Here are the other possible scenarios...Valpo has a VERY tough game left in Green Bay...that will be two days after a very tough bracketbuster for them. If they lose that, and we win out...we host the horizon tourney. If Butler somehow loses, and Milwaukee somehow gets the 3 seed...then we would hold the tiebreaker most likely for sweeping Milwaukee while Valop split.

In my opinion, it comes down to one game next Monday night in Green Bay, that will hold Valpos fate. HOWEVER, its not that bad..the key in the Horizon is the 1 or 2 seed...because you get a double bye. That means the team would would play just played two games in the three previous days. Also, if Valpo were to lose, then the championship game goes to the highest remaining seed, which could be CSU. A TON is still possible in the last week. Hell, we could be in 3rd or 4th when its all said and done. Focus on one game at a time and try to get this win at Old Dominion...i dont think at-large is out of the question.

I like our chances when norris Cole feels threatened he plays at a whole new level.

I just hope we dont end up playing Butler in the tournament. We dont match up with them

^i think we are too good of a team to lose to them 3 times...just like in 2009...Waters will make adjustments. Thats a win I want.

Thanks.

Not to mention, Butler will be playing in the first rounds while CSU rests.

Valpo -green bay game is going down to the wire. If valpo loses, CSU will most likely host the Verison League Tounament (first time ever?). Fingers crossed!!

First time they would have earned the right to host. Back when they rotated hosts and had one site throughout the tourney they had it at CSU (2002 I think).

Butler is amazingly still in the running too. 12-5 to CSU's 12-4, but Butler has the head-to-head tie-breaker.

CSU in control of their own destiny. Win two home games thursday/saturday...host the tourney...that simple. Can Cleveland pack the house and bring the pain?

VALPO loses to Green Bay in OT!!!!

Oh yeah... Cleveland State, learn from that loss at Old Dominion and finish strong.
