Marysville (not to be confused with St. Marys) is an extremely pleasant little town, the first Ohio small town I might accept calling Mayberry. There isn't much particularly interesting as far as architectural or urban elements, but I was certainly impressed.

The buildings are somewhat setback at Main and Fifth Streets, I assume this is an attempt at a town square.

The Union County Courthouse is a twin of the courthouse in Henry County. David Gibbs, the architect, also designed identical courthouses for Marion and Fayette Counties, as well as the Butler County Courthouse.

In recent years, an addition has been erected to the side of the courthouse.

The design is sensitive to the original design and works pretty well.

Nice. That's a handsome courthouse, and the addition was done in a fashion that doesn't completely violate the views of the original.

That's how a restoration should be done!
