Awesome pics! Although, only breezing through Cincinnati is a sin, IMO. I like that view of UC's campus! You can see Michael Graves' Art Deco-esque Engineering building he designed. The pic before that; the infill you posted, that's right across from the dorm I stayed in last year.

 

Vine St. in OTR seems to be improving greatly.

 

I'm still in love with these buildings.

^They're only worth living in if you're affiliated with the medical school/pharmacy/Nursing, etc. or work at the hospitals. It's too far of a walk to DAAP! For 1/3rd of a second I considered living there and sharing a bedroom with someone. Not worth the walk for 1200/month! Or something in the vacinity of that. It is very upscale though.

I'm only vaguely familiar with the location. I was so lost when Randy showed me the structures. Architecturally, they are very nice and distinct -- but if you are paying that much for them, they better well be!

I think those buildings are like an invasive virus of the suburban aesthetic infiltrating the heart of urban design.  I don't like 'em.  They seem uninspired.

IMO it was something Corryville needed badly. That neighborhood has an overbearing feeling of staleness. A feeling one does not experience in other Italianate neighborhoods like OTR and Northside...

I like that project a lot.  And they are specifically geared to medical professionals/students.  The Uptown Consortium is working with each of these projects to accomplish a certain thing...and the main goal is to get more of the professionals, who work in the Uptown area, to live there as well.  This project is geared towards the huge amount of medical people right across the street; University Park on the other hand is meant for students...McMillan Park for university professionals.  It's a great strategy if you ask me.
