Posted July 31, 200717 yr It is always interesting to see what others recommend when it comes to visiting our city. Have a look: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2007/07/what-to-do-in-c.html
July 31, 200717 yr Oh God, he recommended the Goetta at Price Hill Chili...eww. "I definitely agree that it is WAY over rated. Its basically chili with Cinnamon in it....which just doesn't do it for me. But if you do want to try it, because anyone from there will SWEAR its the greatest thing ever...get it on a hot dog or chili mac....not by itself. " OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!
July 31, 200717 yr ? "As an added bonus, if you and the wife are looking for some added adventure, take a walk after dark through Over the Rhine. The locals are very friendly and will be more than happy to show you the sights."
July 31, 200717 yr Can't say that I know Cinci much as I live in Cleveland. I do travel to Cinci on business a lot at the hospitals. Always stay at the Vernon Manor. That is the coolest hotel, great rooms, lots of history, and great service and food. Lots of celebrities have stayed there over the years and if you are there for an extended stay they have suites with kitchenettes. Since I am always there on business and not night life or tourist stuff I have no clue where the hotel is in relation to things to do but it is a great place to stay!
July 31, 200717 yr ^You are kinda nowhere for walking but a short drive south on Highland to Liberty to Vine will getcha downtown or Over the Rhine and a short drive north on Highland to Martin Luther King to Jefferson to Ludlow will get you to Clifton and if you continue on Ludlow you will get to a neighborhood called Northside. If you can't find anything to do in any of these areas, I don't know what to tell you. I like the Vernon Manor.
August 1, 200717 yr Do you suggest the Cinti Art Museum to people who are regularly frequenting Chicago ? Or just stick with purely Cincinnati stuff ?
August 1, 200717 yr Here are my suggestions -- "Come see the hundreds of abandonments! Where else can you find an entire neighborhood to yourself?" "Visit the large silo in the ghetto of the west side and breathe in the pungent odor of wet, moldy grain! Great views from the top, once you climb the 300 feces-encrusted steps to the top!" "Interested in historic churches? Well, there are plenty of abandoned ones to gaze at!" ;)
