August 3, 200816 yr ^ It's a new year, musky. I think what set you back last time is that the system automatically drafted your team for you.
August 10, 200816 yr We have 7 teams so far.. need 3 more for a solid league. Everyone bug people so we can get at least a 10-team league.
August 10, 200816 yr Yes, anyone from UO is welcome to join! We had a blast last year. League ID: 205791 Password: development And if any non-UO folks join us, tell them that they have to sign up for UO!
August 27, 200816 yr Just a reminder that the draft is this weekend. It's set for Sunday at 1:30pm. We have eight teams. If two more of you want to join, let's get you in!
August 30, 200816 yr Guys (maybe girls), I've been thinking, do we wanna do this tomorrow or push it to Monday, I'd rather not kill a Labor Day weekend afternoon on Sunday, Monday seems more positive. Any thoughts?
August 30, 200816 yr That's cool with me...I was planning on doing some traveling tomorrow anyways. This would work nicely with those plans.
August 30, 200816 yr Yeah, I picked the date forgetting everyone would have Monday off, I'd rather do Monday afternoon and let everyone (well, those who will show to the draft), have the day to enjoy. Done.. Monday at 3 p.m.
September 1, 200816 yr Just noticed this thread and 2 hours too late. Bummer! I guess that's good for all of you who signed up, though! :-P
September 5, 200816 yr ^ It's a new year, musky. I think what set you back last time is that the system automatically drafted your team for you. Whoops... forgot again. At least I'm employed now.
September 5, 200816 yr ^ It's a new year, musky. I think what set you back last time is that the system automatically drafted your team for you. Whoops... forgot again. At least I'm employed now. I heard. Congrats! Looks like your team is pretty excellent this year.
September 5, 200816 yr Really!!!! I haven't looked yet. I'm gonna wait until Saturday night... unless I'm drunk.
September 16, 200816 yr So grasscat isn't playing this year? cd-cleveland, jar3232, and the pope are all undefeated and tied for first place!
September 29, 200816 yr c'mon guys...we have a lot of UO FF participants that didn't bother to change their line-ups and left players who were on byes or ruled out of their games!
October 13, 200816 yr I made a couple moves, had some good individual performances and still lost. Damn.
November 4, 200816 yr Can we boot people who don't change their lineups and have not since week one? It's really making UO FF suck, having four or five of us who actually put time into it and having others that repeatedly don't care enough to switch players who are on bye weeks or are injured.
November 18, 200816 yr Update on the standings. --- *1. The Overlookers (cd-cleveland) 10-1 *2. worst team ever (the pope) 9-2 *3. The Drunken Yeti (jar3232) 6-5 *4. Orange&Brown (Joe, a non-UO guy) 6-5 *5. Palin's Playas (Kstay2) 6-5 6. W8tilNextYear (?) 3-8 7. Queen City Bombers (Uncle Rando) 2-9 8. Lake Erie Muskies (musky) 2-9 * Has clinched playoff spot. Playoffs begin the week of December 2.
November 18, 200816 yr Well, my theory didn't work. Just wanted to see what would happen if I left it all alone without changing a thing. I call it the Cleveland Browns theory.
November 18, 200816 yr Well, my theory didn't work. Just wanted to see what would happen if I left it all alone without changing a thing. I call it the Cleveland Browns theory. The Pope is following that theory and he's 9-2. I sent him a Facebook message yesterday along the lines of, "Did you know that you're 9-2 and you haven't even changed your line-up all season?" W8tilnextyear doesn't seem to change his, either.
November 25, 200816 yr The latest UO FF standings. --- *1. worst team ever (the pope) 10-2-0 *2. The Overlookers (cd-cleveland) 10-2-0 *3. Orange&Brown (Joe of non-UO) 7-5-0 *4. Palin's Playas (kstay2) 7-5-0 *5. The Drunken Yeti (jar3232) 6-6-0 *6. W8tilNextYear (?) 4-8-0 7. Queen City Bombers (Uncle Rando) 2-10-0 8. Lake Erie Muskies (musky) 2-10-0 * Has clinched playoff spot. Playoffs begin the week of December 2.
December 2, 200816 yr Final standings heading into the playoffs --- *1. The Overlookers (cd-cleve) 11-2-0 *2. worst team ever (the pope) 10-3-0 *3. Orange&Brown (Joe of non-UO) 8-5-0 *4. The Drunken Yeti (Jar3232) 7-6-0 *5. Palin's Playas (kstay2) 7-6-0 *6. W8tilNextYear (?) 4-9-0 7. Queen City Bombers (Uncle Rando) 3-10-0 8. Lake Erie Muskies (musky) 2-11-0
December 2, 200816 yr And here's the first round playoff schedule --- (1) The Overlookers Playoff Bye (5) Palin's Playas (4) The Drunken Yeti (6) W8tilNextYear (3) Orange&Brown (2) worst team ever Playoff Bye
December 12, 200816 yr Week 2 of the playoffs --- Semifinals (1) The Overlookers (cd-cleveland) (4) The Drunken Yeti (jar3232) (2) worst team ever (the pope) (3) Orange&Brown 5th Place Game (5) Palin's Playas (kstay2) (6) W8tilNextYear Last Week Orange&Brown beat W8tilnextyear, 104.00-85.50 The Drunken Yeti beat Palin's Playas, 121.50-100.00
December 16, 200816 yr Here's the latest from UO Fantasy Football. (#1 seed) The Overlookers (cd-cleveland) beat (#4 seed) The Drunken Yeti (jar3232), 120-117 in the semifinal. Yeti had Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook, and probably would've had The Overlookers defeated if both weren't pulled from the game because of the Eagles' lead over the Browns. (#3 seed) Orange&Brown beat (#2 seed) worst team ever (the pope), 73.5-68 in the other semifinal. Worst Team Ever could've beaten O&B if he had switched Brandon Jacobs of the Giants, who was out with an injury, with another bench player. Pope, with a 10-4 record, did pretty well considering that he never logged in to change his lineup! (#6 seed) W8tilNextYear beat (#5 seed) Palin's Playas (kstay2), 113.50-102 in the 5th Place consolation game. So this week's games are as follows UO FFL Championship Game The Overlookers, 12-2 Orange & Brown, 10-5 3rd Place Consolation Game worst team ever, 10-4 The Drunken Yeti, 8-7 Rounding out the standings for this year are: 5th Place - W8tilNextYear, 5-10 6th Place - Palin's Playas, 7-8 7th Place - Queen City Bombers (Uncle Rando), 3-10 8th Place - Lake Erie Muskies (musky), 2-11
December 16, 200816 yr Stupid browns and not scoring an offensive TD in the last 25 quarters... Good game, I almost had you there...Well there is always next year...
December 20, 200816 yr FYI guys, next year I'm done with this year, it's just not competitive enough and not enough people pay attention to it at all. Sorry, unless we have a big demand next year, I'm handing over the reigns.
December 21, 200816 yr FYI guys, next year I'm done with this year, it's just not competitive enough and not enough people pay attention to it at all. Sorry, unless we have a big demand next year, I'm handing over the reigns. I'm down for next year, but we should do cash. I'm making it into my next playoff round with my current league and am expecting to win this week as well due to me having Peyton M.
December 21, 200816 yr FYI guys, next year I'm done with this year, it's just not competitive enough and not enough people pay attention to it at all. Sorry, unless we have a big demand next year, I'm handing over the reigns. Kstay, you must want to quit because you haven't been able to beat me the last two seasons! ;) I totally agree with you, though. Of the eight teams, only five seemed to log in to change lineups. Maybe having some kind of vested interested in the league will prompt participants to pay more attention. I thought that the league was competitive. There were plenty of close games. But it seemed like a lot of checks and balances were missing. Some rising and improving players sat as free agents and on waivers were ripe for the taking, but only a few of us made moves. We could have used more teams, too. I enjoyed this year. But the people who didn't bother with their teams made it a somewhat frustrating experience. I'll probably decide not to participate next year unless we have some more committed UOans.
December 21, 200816 yr Money would be a good motivator. I logged in, changed my lineups, and made some moves but I probably would have been more interested and involved had their been a monetary incentive.
December 22, 200816 yr Here are your UO FFL playoff results and final standings: Championship The Overlookers defeated Orange & Brown, 121-59. 3rd Place Consolation The Drunken Yeti defeated Worst Team Ever, 126-117 Final Standings 1st Place - The Overlookers (cd-cleveland), 13-2 2nd Place - Orange & Brown, 10-6 3rd Place - The Drunken Yeti (jar3232), 9-7 4th Place - worst team ever (the pope), 10-5 5th Place - W8tilNextYear, 5-10 6th Place - Palin's Playas (kstay2), 7-8 7th Place - Queen City Bombers (Uncle Rando), 3-10 8th Place - Lake Erie Muskies (musky), 2-11 Thanks to all who participated this year!
August 20, 200915 yr I would participate in this thing you call "fantasy football." Please PM me if there actually winds up being a league since chances are I will forget about this thread... thanks!
August 20, 200915 yr Kstay2 is the administrator of the UO Fantasy Football League. I'll PM to see if he's down to do it again or if he can relinquish the managerial rights to one of us.
