August 2, 200717 yr That is so awesome. What is there to do in Charleston, outside of its two forts and shopping? Mum wants to find stores and an outlet mall somewhere near by, and I wouldn't mind checking out the cityscape and doing some browsing myself.

Mum wants to find stores and an outlet mall somewhere near by, and I wouldn't mind checking out the cityscape and doing some browsing myself. what is there to do in any city but drink, eat, enjoy. charleston had a decent arts scene for its size, but with the exception of spoletto, it is more expensive and of a lesser quality than Cincinnati. the have nots or anything relating to theatre 99 is excellent; high quality comedy. and by the way the ocean is 15 minutes away. folly beach is the best beach. they have a nice tapas resturaunt there, but one of the best places is AMUSE is west ashley. duck con fit for $7 can't be beat.
August 3, 200717 yr The outlet mall is up in North Charleston (yuck!). Meritage is good for tapas, but my favorite is Social on East Bay.
