Since there is not a dedicated travel thread to TSA issues I thought I would start one.

As there are many forumers who travel quite frequently, I thought this could be a place where all could post  TSA and security related travel issues instead of placing the same post in each airport thread.

I got this update from my assistant and thought I would share.

This is the information that I found most important.

Effective August 4, 2007, full-size video game consoles (for example Playstation, X-box, or Nintendo) and DVD players must be removed from their carrying cases and submitted separately for x-ray screening. Laptop computers and video cameras that use cassettes have long been subject to this policy.

Small electronic items, such as cell phones, MP3 players, iPods and portable video game systems do not have to be removed from their carrying cases.

I know that some airports are going to interpret this "rule" differently so I would print a copy of this and carry it with you the first month or so.  I can already predict, the screeners at LGA & DCA will tell people all items must be out.
