August 8, 200717 yr the second picture from the top is a X Was there any damage to the lower level of the new station at @ W 117?
August 8, 200717 yr Try it again, because it came from the same source as pictures 3-8 .... http://www.wkyc.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=72406 I haven't heard about damage to the new West 117th Station. But I wouldn't be surprised if water got in there. Pavement at the Inner Belt's Dead Man's Curve was damaged by the storm waters and a lane or two was closed today. Also, pavement on the section of I-480 pictured above apparently was undercut by erosion. August 8, 200717 yr The water looks cleaner than Lake Erie. *ba da ching* Fine. Interesting shots. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers

August 8, 200717 yr I know this doesn't have to do with flooding, but I took this photo of last night's lightning storm out of my window at my place in Old Brooklyn. By me, the Jennings Road south of Steelyard Commons was flooded pretty badly. There was a couple of inches of mud in the area by Valley Road/Old Harvard Road left as a byproduct.
August 8, 200717 yr That's an awesome picture! Here's a picture of the flooded-out Cuyahoga County Fair in Berea.... And a shot of lightning in the clouds from yesterday's second storm, which was more lightning than rain (compared to the big storm in the morning).... August 8, 200717 yr I can only hope there was enough water damage to the new W117th stop. Tear that bag of ass down and get something worthy of an urban Rapid station.
August 8, 200717 yr great pics kjp. i used to be fascinated watching the "feed" in the newsroom at getty images when my spouse worked there and stuff like that came in left and right. i talked to my mom this morning and she was tellin me about all this. same thing in nyc too. storm, rain, brooklyn tornado?, flooding, no subways, long bus lines, tempers flaring. our friend had to walk to work too -- from e90's to w15th -- in all this heat. thats nuts. news: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/08/08/nyc.weather/index.html

I like the station and its design. What don't you like about it?? "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

Dude you have been super critical of a lot of designs in the city. What I'm about to say is not meant to be malicious, but I would like to ask, what have you designed that we might have seen? I ask 'cause it would be nice to have a point of reference and understand your approach to design & architecture.
