Here's Town-Franklin, located in the south-east corner of downtown.

That little area of downtown is awesome for exploration and is one of my favorite areas of any Ohio city.  I park my car there almost everyday to work downtown, as it's one of the few areas inside the Downtown Beltway of Terror that has free, on-street parking.

Beautiful neighborhood. I've never "explored" it but I've driven through it before. That park is great. Columbus has top notch parks in the inner city.

Shhh! Now I'll never get a parking space!  . Can't beat the commute either, it's an easy walk or drive (I work evenings, so it can be a lonely walk). Too bad the city doesn't promote the area, since it already has about half of all downtown residents and could use a little grocer, cafe, etc. It's very affordable too, if you're looking to rent. There's one other photo I should include...

...and DAMN I love this house! So much character.

Columbus sure has some nice looking inner-city neighborhoods. Nice photos.

I like that area alot.  It's nice to have a nice quiet residential neighborhood like that within such an easy walk of Downtown.

please put this on a tee shirt (i'm sick of looking at those damn doodle drawing elks on all the ny hipster kids t-shirts)

Great looking photos!

Wow, great looking stuff.  And so close to downtown- very cool.

Nice place.  Columbus gets a lot of flak for being "too new", but they have some really great older architecture up there.

Wow... that's a nice little neighborhood.  I've get down to the 'Bus sometime and explore some of it's older neighborhoods.  Everyone I know in C-Bus stays east of Whitehall, so I've never really seen a lot of these older hoods except for here on UO.

wow, that reminds me alot of the old north here in indy. :)

nice pics, great neighborhood!

Totally rad to the max! It's a shame that few Columbusites know about this part of town, or their attitude toward the same old New Albany/Grove City/Reynoldsburg/southern Delaware County shit might change.

Very nice!

I KNOW! The whole city just burned down in the 1970s or something lol

can't say I was ever aware of this area, thanks for the comprehensive look!
