Posted August 21, 200717 yr Well I guess the saying holds true...you can take the boy out of Cincinnati, but you can't take Cincinnati out of the boy. I HAD to come back to the 513 for a quick weekend trip. So I packed in as much as I could in two short days. I got in late Friday night and relaxed with the family...then woke up Saturday morning to check out my old stomping grounds at Panera on Calhoun Street...then it was down to Findlay Market, then the Gateway Quarter for some shopping, then had lunch with a friend at B/G Diner, then some more walking around, then headed on over to the Mercantile Library for a tour and a history lesson. Later that night I headed downtown for some afterhours fun. First stop was Cadillac Ranch and the line wrapped around the block down Walnut St...then Lodge Bar and they too had a long line. We got into McFadden's and were there for a little while and then hit up Sully's which was more fun. We left around 2am and hit up Dinks (almost right across the street, and yes...open at 2am) for some eats. Well here goes...from beginning of Saturday morning to later that afternoon. Too much fun later that night to take care of any camera gear so no pics after hours. Real density!!! Findlay Market time... August 21, 200717 yr The Mercantile is actually a pretty decent library. I found some obscure titles there, old books too, that even as a member I was surprised they were willing to lend me. A great place for a bagged lunch downtown.

I fell in love with the place a couple of years ago, and I've been promoting the city here in MKE ever since. I can't believe more people don't know of how beautiful it is. And when I say that I'm moving there, I mean OTR or Pendleton, NOT The Village of Indian Hills. PS - Thanks for the eye-candy.

September 19, 200717 yr Indian Hill is beautiful in its own right as well (natural and built). A better example of where you're not moving to would be West Chester or Florence or somewhere like that.

That is Chris' way of saying he was here but he is too lazy to write more as he has probably just looked at 80 threads in the previous hour on SSP, SSC, UO and a few others I don't know about. Anyway, I am glad to see more shots from Fairview Park. You would think a few vintage ones from this park exist somewhere in the world.
