August 29, 200717 yr I am drafting a letter to my congressmen to oppose the Skull-Fu*king Bill of 2007. In order to stop this legislation, a popular outcry will need to be heard by those in positions of power. The following is some sample language you can use to draft your own letter: Dear Mr./Mrs. Congressperson, I am writing this letter in opposition of the Skull-Fu*king Bill of 2007 proposed by Representative Benjamin Sinclair. My opposition to this bill springs from several specific objections. First, I believe that the bill is overbroad and difficult to enforce. While Rep. Sinclair rails against such outrages as nuns and schoolchildren subjected to involuntary skull-fu*king, the bill as written criminalizes not only these involuntary, but also voluntary, acts between consenting adults. Such "blue laws" regulating personal morality have always been a legal laughing stock that undermine popular confidence in the justness of law, especially amongst the sexually deviant. Second, the law may run into Establishment Clause conflicts, as certain religious cults and occult organizations include skull-fu*king as an important religious ritual necessary to get in closer contact with the demons or other dark and mysterious evil forces that they worship. Finally, I believe that the bill's title is misleading. The bill is called the "Skull-Fu*king Bill of 2007" when clearly it is against this practice. I believe that this intentionally misleading title will be used to garner approval from those who would not support the bill if they knew it's true intentions, much the same as the "Clear Skies Initiative" and other bills have been used as rhetorical cover for laws that would not pass on their own merit. Thank you for your time, and I urge you to vote against this wrongheaded piece of legislations. Sincerely, X You may want to modify this language to show your own personal reasons for your opposition towards this bill. I suggest giving specific examples of why you believe the bill will be unjust and unenforceable. If you can relate any personal experiences, that would be most convincing. Together we can make a difference!
August 31, 200717 yr I've sent this to just about everyone I know, including my mother-in-law (who, as you can imagine, is remarkably cool)... Absolutely hilarious...
September 2, 200717 yr Same here RV! Amazing that we are at war on several different fronts and have an infrastructure that is crumbling out from under us yet Washington still has the time to have amateur stand up cessions.
