August 27, 200717 yr Oh, yeah, this place is very interesting. Its on the UNESCO World Heritage list for its garden landscape that surrounds the town, which is built aroung some glacial some lakes (geologically speaking this area is akin to the lake country of Wisconsin or Michigan). It is a series of landscape parks of various styles built around the palaces & country houses of the Prussian ruling house (Potsdam was sort of a summer residence, I think, of the Kings of Prussia, later German emperors). Nos 1 & 11 is the famous palace of Sans Souci, buit by Fredrick the Great. It is built on terraces overlooking a valley. The baskets of cherrys really brings back German memories as my grandparents lived near an orchard area, where the orchard farmers would bring their fresh cherrys to town market, like in that pix.

September 4, 200717 yr I'm a neat freak and borderline OCD! Make that two of us then...but I'm probably getting closer and closer to OCD everyday (that's if I'm not there already). *re-straightens random papers on desk, while double-clicking pen a total of no more than 3 sets of 2 clicks*
