Posted August 30, 200717 yr I am a 24 year old male and will be starting a job on 9th St. next month. I would like to find a reasonably-priced apartment downtown so that I can walk to work. I would appreciate any help and advice. Thanks!
August 30, 200717 yr Welcome to the forum, and welcome to Cleveland! Will you be working on East or West 9th Street? clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
August 30, 200717 yr SLL welcome. I'm wondering if you read any of the Cleveland specific relocation threads that have been started over the last 6 weeks? Thank god you made it over here from cleveland.com. FYI - the DCP is the Downtown Cleveland Partnership which is NOW KNOWN as the downtown Cleveland alliance [ www.downtownclevelandalliance.com ]
August 30, 200717 yr What would you consider a reasonable price? Downtown Cleveland is more expensive than most of the region, but nothing compared to many big city downtowns.
August 30, 200717 yr I've heard good things about Huron Square and the Osborn Building, both adjacent to East 9th Street (on Huron Road). These are both in the "Gateway" neighborhood (near Jacobs Field/Quicken Loans Arena): http://www.forrent.com/apartment-community-profile/1030655.php I've also heard good things about the apartments along East 4th Street, which is a little busier of an area. It's still pretty close to anywhere along East 9th Street: http://www.east4thstreet.com/properties.php clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
August 30, 200717 yr You could also check out the Chesterfield and Reserve Square, which both have units within that price range. Reserve Square is a little more expensive out of the two, but much nicer. Chesterfield's reputation is so-so. You could find some units in the Warehouse District in that range two, try the Crittenden building. It'd be a bit more of a hike. I live on East 4th, and recommend it. There is a lot going on here, the management is investing in the units and buildings, so I think things will continue to get better.
August 30, 200717 yr Check out the Statler Arms, E12th and Euclid (216-696-6800). There are some reasonably priced apartments here, and it's been shifting to a younger crowd since they've started leasing to more CSU students (which has its pros and cons). I'll even split the referral bonus with you
