March 23, 200916 yr Thanks for the updated pictures. Whoever is out there posting these, thanks! These, plus the Banks pictures, show an amazing amount of activity.
March 23, 200916 yr Is there a webcam for this site? if not, we should try and ask the right people to put one in somewhere.
March 23, 200916 yr Is there a webcam for this site? if not, we should try and ask the right people to put one in somewhere. This is a good idea. I wonder if we could sponsor it somehow.
March 23, 200916 yr Wow, this thing is sky-rocketing up! Thanks for the pictures I was going to go down there this weekend but you beat me to the punch. I guess in April. It's above street level great! Thanks for the pictures!!!
March 23, 200916 yr Rob Alpern has said there will be a website, but apparently they have had some initial problems getting it up and running
March 26, 200916 yr Wow! Awesome pic!! "It's just fate, as usual, keeping its bargain and screwing us in the fine print..." - John Crichton
March 26, 200916 yr Thats a cool pic. So that's the elevator shaft. Are they building that all the way up and then constructing the rest of the building around it?
March 27, 200916 yr Thats a cool pic. So that's the elevator shaft. Are they building that all the way up and then constructing the rest of the building around it? Yes. The elevator shaft is the grey area in the middle.
March 28, 200916 yr From some of the pictures i have seen it appears that three levels of the elevator shaft were constructed rather quickly, but that no further levels have been constructed in the last several weeks.
March 29, 200916 yr From some of the pictures i have seen it appears that three levels of the elevator shaft were constructed rather quickly, but that no further levels have been constructed in the last several weeks. You'd be wrong in that assumption because it just rose up another level this last week.
March 29, 200916 yr I took your comment as meaning something else til I went back and read some earlier posts. My bad, no disrespect intended. Anyone know where Randy has been hiding lately?

March 31, 200916 yr Snapshots from the February 1st, March 1st, and March 31st Construction Camera "It's just fate, as usual, keeping its bargain and screwing us in the fine print..." - John Crichton
March 31, 200916 yr http://queencity.siteisight.com/ Unfortunately it's internal to AFG and requires a ID/Password. "It's just fate, as usual, keeping its bargain and screwing us in the fine print..." - John Crichton
April 1, 200916 yr This construction site is frustrating to photograph from public property. I think the Reds stadium will be the prime vantage point. In 2010 the experience walking in and out of the stadium will be dramatically difference between this and The Banks construction topping out.

Anyone know where Randy has been hiding lately? greece Yup...I catching up on some UO while having some coffee this morning in Heraklion, Greece...be back April 6th.
April 1, 200916 yr As far as i can discern the website works. I can see photos from way back. Sweet thanks!
April 2, 200916 yr Wild! Glad it works! "It's just fate, as usual, keeping its bargain and screwing us in the fine print..." - John Crichton
April 3, 200916 yr What the hell? How did they do that in one day???? OMG lol they are freaking working!!!
April 3, 200916 yr Apparently you have to continue to click the link on this page in order to access the site. If you save it on your favorites and try to access it, it won't work.
April 3, 200916 yr Didn't somebody say we are looking at the top floors of the elevator shaft? I guess they could hydraulically lift it up a floor in a day?
April 3, 200916 yr ^ no. the article that described the work as that was wrong...completely wrong. the formwork is a single assembly that is able to be lifted from floor to floor in one piece. obviously this saves time on taking apart and rebuilding the formwork for every floor. what appears to be a new floor added on in one day is simply the formwork being lifted one floor.

That makes more sense...it didn't look like they laid concrete and re-bar and stuff. Plus through the website i watched every 15 mins and it just shot up like a miracle. So what you said makes more sense.
April 3, 200916 yr Anybody know when the actualy floor will be at stree level? And we'll start to see some steel?
April 3, 200916 yr From the website You can see they are starting the second floor of the building although it's not street level yet.
April 4, 200916 yr From the website Which website? "It's just fate, as usual, keeping its bargain and screwing us in the fine print..." - John Crichton
April 4, 200916 yr Sanpit, I believe they said end of June/early July is when we can start seeing actual steel
April 4, 200916 yr I randomly ran across this on my old hard drive. I think the original lives on Jayson's website, I had just tweaked it to make it look more real...
April 4, 200916 yr Which website? http://queencitysquare.com Man that building is going to look nice once it's finished.
April 4, 200916 yr Sanpit, I believe they said end of June/early July is when we can start seeing actual steel OH man that's quite a ways. Thanks for the update!
