Commissioners sign 'green' agreement

CINCINNATI - Hamilton County's two Democratic commissioners on Monday signed an agreement to help reduce emissions and create "green" jobs as a result. Commissioners David Pepper and Todd Portune signed the "Cool Counties Climate Stabilization Agreement" in a ceremony at Aiken University High School in College Hill. Aiken is the first high school in the area to establish an environmental education program as part of its coursework.

Great news!  The Sierra Club has had a Cool Cities program for "a few" years now.  They changed it a bit to accomodate counties.  Cleveland Mayor Jackson signed the Cool Cities pledge last summer after getting a letter from the Steelworkers and a letter from me. www.coolcities.us Time to work on the other counties.

I'm surprised the liberal mecca of Ohio (Toledo) hasn't signed on yet.  :laugh:
