September 12, 200717 yr Fantastic!! Terrific mixture of hip and grit--it's what city living is all about. Great tour.
September 12, 200717 yr thanks for showing the "Bar" & "Lawyer" building. That's the best juxtaposition of signage ever! http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
September 12, 200717 yr A savory thread! thanks for showing the "Bar" & "Lawyer" building. That's the best juxtaposition of signage ever! I dunno! It's hard to beat Milwaukee for that one, where the Bar Association Building has a bar on the first floor;

That's the best juxtaposition of signage ever! I dunno! It's hard to beat Milwaukee for that one, where the Bar Association Building has a bar on the first floor; you're right. It appears the Milwaukee building does a better job of seamlessly integrating the activities characteristic of both enterprises. I suspect there's a dumbwaiter (or at the very least a spiral staircase) located near the service bar to expeditiously facilitate the flow of libations to the second floor. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
September 13, 200717 yr lol! well yes indeed rob -- the whole city's bar association over top of a big bar certainly trumps a single lawyer office over a small bar. god knows lawyers need the booze....and so do their clients after walking out of there! btw -- did i mention the southern end of the les shown here is my fav part of manhattan? yep, it's still got the nitty gritty.
