Posted September 22, 200717 yr i thought we could have a thread where we could show off the sports caps and other merch that we regularly wear. what do ya think? if yr into it please add info about your caps, tees and other stuff you like to wear. i have been rocking this one hard since i picked it up at the woodland mall in bowling green in july, it's a new era adjustable camo tribe baseball cap. camouflage caps are a rare sight in nyc currently, so i get envious looks. it's also the 1st non-bootleg cap i have had in awhile  : i have an old ratty sweatshirt with the brownie on it that i wear to watch the browns, but i am open to suggestions for browns/cavs caps....

I couldn't think of a worse combination. when it comes to caps (baseball) i can't wear anything less than twin enterprises.
September 25, 200717 yr You own a UC and a XU hat? Isn't that like rooting for Ohio State and Michigan (or do I not understand the Queen City rivalries)?
September 25, 200717 yr I guess you don't understand! You own a UC and a XU hat? Isn't that like rooting for Ohio State and Michigan (or do I not understand the Queen City rivalries)?
September 25, 200717 yr I guess I don't understand either. I went to UC (although I'm not from Cincy) and would never wear an X cap. I guess you don't understand! You own a UC and a XU hat? Isn't that like rooting for Ohio State and Michigan (or do I not understand the Queen City rivalries)?

September 25, 200717 yr Wait - so you guys can talk all you want about accessories (with photos to boot!), but if I do it... It ain't right, I tell ya! i'm a little worried that ohio1221 took the time to take photos of his hats.....
September 25, 200717 yr Are your implying that you would like to see more!? If so, sorry!!... i'm a little worried that ohio1221 took the time to take photos of his hats.....
September 25, 200717 yr I also have Indians shirts & Reds shirts... Oh my!!... You own a UC and a XU hat? Isn't that like rooting for Ohio State and Michigan (or do I not understand the Queen City rivalries)?
September 25, 200717 yr ohio1221 i dig that mr. redlegs cap, but unforunately if i ever wore that around where i work i'd be mrdeadyc within a week. i have been rocking this one hard since i picked it up at the woodland mall in bowling green in july, it's a new era adjustable camo tribe baseball cap. camouflage caps are a rare sight in nyc currently, so i get envious looks. it's also the 1st non-bootleg cap i have had in awhile  : new era and adjustable? Wait - so you guys can talk all you want about accessories (with photos to boot!), but if I do it... It ain't right, I tell ya! lol - true! but leave it to the greenwich village guy to bridge the gap, right? besides, i know fashion better than you anyway.
September 25, 200717 yr You're talking to someone who watched CNN's "Style with Elsa Klensch" for the better part of 10 years, so check yo'self befo' you wreck yo'self. And honey, you might know it as well as me, but you won't ever WORK it as well as me! Thank you, please be seated! :whip: *Ahem* - sorry, I think I'm channeling MyTwoSense :-o clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
September 25, 200717 yr I would have thought people there would be more concerned about the Indians, since they're the ones usually beating up on the yankees. ohio1221 i dig that mr. redlegs cap, but unforunately if i ever wore that around where i work i'd be mrdeadyc within a week.

September 26, 200717 yr ah haha i almost forgot koow i got that exact goohen cap too at the mudhens stadium right after i bought my camo tribe cap in bg....except grrr it doesnt fit very well. its my fav sports mascot, too bad. This is actually just the best representation I could find; my cap is from the Ned Skeldon days, c. 1994. Does yours have the old English "D" on the reverse? My old cap fits funny (more hair back then), and I've been thinking about ordering a new one, but only if it has Tha D.
September 26, 200717 yr My reds hat: Bearcat hat: And I too have the nati hat (just got it on Saturday from Park + Vine):
September 26, 200717 yr Hats make my head hot and my scalp itchy. I was rocking the Bengals hat in my blog photo, though.
September 26, 200717 yr ^ Oh! thats why you wear camo? ;) exactly. neutral, not real attention getting....but still unique. yes...i am resisting saying that some of the neighborhoods i am in for work are combat zones! ah haha i almost forgot koow i got that exact goohen cap too at the mudhens stadium right after i bought my camo tribe cap in bg....except grrr it doesnt fit very well. its my fav sports mascot, too bad. My old cap fits funny (more hair back then), and I've been thinking about ordering a new one, but only if it has Tha D. no, i just got mine in july so i have the same one you showed. no d on the back. my problem was by the time we got there from bg the mudhens shop was closing so i just had to grab one and leave and i got the wrong size. ps -- i also have another new tribe camo adjustable cap too, with the red wahoo, but i dont wear it because it was cap night at the jake when i went last summer (it has verison wireless on the back) and of course its cheap, has plastic mesh and is uncomfortable crap.
September 26, 200717 yr I decided to stop buying the Chief Wahoo logo (no need to debate the merits here), so i've been going with some of the lamer new indians caps- like the baseball that says "Indians AL 1901" or something, or the crossed bats saying the same thing. What I really need is one of those crooked C hats like in mrnyc's avitar photo.
October 3, 200717 yr Moved this past weekend and took the opportunity to snap a pic of most of my hats. From L to R, Back row: UC, beat up Reds frat-ish hat, 1901 Reds road, Montreal Expos, Detroit Tigers, LA Clips hat from the early 90s Middle row: 1957 Reds home, 2000 Reds road, 61-66 Reds road, early 90s Reds, 513 Ohio hat Front row: one of those fancy New Era Reds hats of the sort I usually hate, early 2000s Spring/Batting Practice Reds hat (MLB used), great 1980s Spring Training Reds hat (wool front, mesh back), late 80s Bengals sideline hat.
October 3, 200717 yr I'm not a big fan of that hat, but it was like $10 at Deveroe's, so I picked it up. It looks like an officially sanctioned Urban Ohio hat though. Except the place marking star next to the 513 is really more like Dayton than Cincinnati. It also looks like a Xavier hat, and I'm not having that. As for the hat in the lower left corner, that one is cool, if a bit Miami Inkish. Too expensive though. If this came in a color besides white, I'd get it.
October 4, 200717 yr I'm not a big fan of that hat, but it was like $10 at Deveroe's, so I picked it up. Wait. YOU went to Deveroes? "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
October 4, 200717 yr If this came in a color besides white, I'd get it. i've seen in shops that those cityscape caps do come in other colors. i dk about the cinci one tho. nice collection~!
October 4, 200717 yr Wait. YOU went to Deveroes? omigod, I KNOW, right? i've seen in shops that those cityscape caps do come in other colors. i dk about the cinci one tho. I've seen them in other colors as well, like red and black. They sell out really quickly though, apparently. A better version is the city map series. IIRC, Cincinnati's was a map of major streets in OTR. I don't think they're made anymore though.
October 4, 200717 yr omigod, I KNOW, right? LOL! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
October 4, 200717 yr The thing I couldn't get over was that Deveroe's was just like any other suburban Italian retailer. No one was yelling, "I want some MFing Uptowns!"
October 4, 200717 yr I just remember the Deveroe's ads circa 2000 "You know the place to get yo clothes...deveroes!"
October 4, 200717 yr ^It's "everybody knows where you get your clothes, at Deveroes". I don't usually dig the "big" hats with the flat bill that new era makes and I don't like the ones that are small and have no structure to 'em either, I try to buy ones that are compromise between the two but they're harder to find. I really want that nati hat. I used to have a new era Reds hat (with the sticker still on the bill) and it said 'nati on the back instead of having the C logo but I lost it on a ride at Kings Island (my dumb ass wore it on the outter limits). I miss that hat.
October 5, 200717 yr I only like hats that are fairly to well broken in. Keeping it pristine, with a flat bill and a sticker is out of the question. Any 59/50 can be broken in. I know what you mean about the big hats though. I have to go a size down and try and shrink em a bit with hot water then staight into the dryer.
October 5, 200717 yr I used to have a new era Reds hat (with the sticker still on the bill) hey now -- david keeps it real too!

October 5, 200717 yr Did anyone notice the fashionable elderly man behind home plate during last night's Indians game? He changed his Indians hat every inning. Some of the colors; neon green, hot pink, navy, yellow w/ red visor, and blue. He was sitting next to what looked to be his wife.
October 5, 200717 yr hey look -- the pc tribe jersey -- too funny! http://www.shelflifeclothing.com/shirtpages/caucasians.html
October 7, 200717 yr That hat is so played out. I never liked that logo; the C logo for the Reds and the Detroit D are the best logos in baseball (imo). Atl's A is another good one. People usually want to rep their home team though.
October 7, 200717 yr I can't believe nobody posted this one: thats because the thread header says ohio sports fans show your caps! That hat is so played out. I never liked that logo; the C logo for the Reds and the Detroit D are the best logos in baseball (imo). Atl's A is another good one. People usually want to rep their home team though. i'd say the mudhens have thee best logo in baseball. no rilly!

October 16, 200717 yr nope! you can make it up all you want, but the thread clearly says 'ohio sports fans,' meaning you have to meet all of that criteria in sum -- not each piece separately. or. i. would. have. allowed. for. that. in. the. thread. headerpistonsuck!
