Posted September 25, 200717 yr According to the census the latino population in the Dayton region grew by over 40% since 2000. The Hispanic Festival is getting better attendance too. This is put on by PACO, the Puerto Rican & Carribean Association, but it is for all of Latin America. As you can tell by the crowd shots this is a fairly multi-culti event. The El Meson paella man, again Bolivian stuff. Fairly rare Grupo Fuego. I think they are from Cincinnati? Jalapeno eating contest. The guy in the hat is the MC for the stage acts, and he is quite a character… And little dancing and music things on the side.
