Good stuff! Rapid City looks interesting, but Pierre doesn't look like much of anything in the aerials, especially for a state capital.

 

The Badlands photos are startling. That looks like a terribly forbidding place.

Rapid City looks awesome.

Pierre is the 2nd smallest state capitol (behind Montpelier, Vermont) with 14,000 people. It is in the middle of nowhere, and really quite disappointing, great for nature lovers I suppose.

 

Rapid City is South Dakota's 2nd largest city (behind Sioux City) with 64,000 people.

So when did you get back from the Moon?

 

I like those Rapid City pics.  I don't think I've ever seen any of that city before.

Rapid City looks like it could be straight out of rural Ohio.
