Well the forum meet on the Goodtime III was awesome - a good turnout, great weather (well, a little windy) but otherwise a great time.

All the cool kids from the forum were there! ;-) It was reeeally windy out on the Lake - but it's all good, UrbanOhioans are a tough bunch!

Cleveland looks good.. I mean really good

Grat pics.

Did I spot a four car red line train going by?  the left side of the pic was sort of cut off.

so who attended?

Cleveland looks beautiful.. I mean really beautiful

zoomtastic Mayday!

You should set up a stand in the Arcade

Excellent photos, MayDay!  I really liked the view of the skyline over Burke.  Did you get any shots of the houseboat?  It was definitely one of the hits of the trip.  That and the best located trailer in all of NE Ohio!

awesome shots. yes it really was that beautiful out and Mayday captured it brilliantly.  I was looking for the house boat too! Rob do you have any pics?

yes either that boat or the trailer will work for me.

ooo -- sue pear -- excellent work mayday!

Beautiful shots! It was a perfect evening for light & clouds, if a bit chilly and windy. At times the sky was dramatic.

It'll take me a few days to work through my stuff and make a post. I spent Friday night with friends in Cleveland, had a leisurely breakfast and socializing time, and then made a pilgrimage to the West Side Market, an essential part of every Cleveland visit for me, before hitting the road. I didn't get home until 4:30 this afternoon. I've been tinkering with the pics, but after the 4 1/2 hour drive I'm seriously in need of an early bedtime.

whoa four car redline train?  how do the platforms handle that??  also that picture looks amazing

whoa four car redline train?  how do the platforms handle that??

If I'm not mistaken the red line platforms are long enough for a four or five car train.  The Blue/Green platforms are long enough to handle three car trains.

The only way to see a city is from the water. Damn nice shots, MayDay.

I think the Mather/skyline pic is my fave, but the Red Line train at sunset is a close second. They're all wonderful. I'm sorry I totally forgot about the boat ride!

And if that train was eastbound, then it may have been the evening "collector" train that collects a bunch of rush hour trains at the Brookpark Yard and returns them en masse to the Central Rail Facility at East 55th. If the train was westbound, then I have no idea what it was!

Wow, great pics of Cleveland. The group photo looks really good.

nerds!

I'll bet those cars were either stationary, being stored/laid over during a big event, or a 4-car set being sent back to E. 55 street at the end of a rush period (probably the latter as they appeared to be coupled and their didn't appear to be 'big event' downtown traffic at the time of these photos).  Wouldn't it be nice if we could generate the train traffic to demand 4-car trains on a regular basis?

Nice pics btw.  Love the sky as well as echoes of our endearing industrial might.

nerds!

You say nerd like it's a bad thing.

I think it was put out there as a mating call.

Great Pics!

Very very nice!

oooo  an Eastsider!

haha, yes, it seems the east side is a little underepresented.

I still have love for the west side though

Nice!

Those great clouds provide for an interesting backdrop, great set!

Thanks for making me feel really mad about having to stay in the office.

Great pics as always.

Cleveland is by far one of the most attracted Major City i've visited.  Trust me i have been to several.
