To be honest, Athens blew me away. The city/OU's setting and topography makes it a very dynamic environment. Would I say OU is "prettier" than Miami? No. But, I like OU's campus better.  Miami's architecture is more refined (w/n style, not in style) and consistent, but OU's is more interesting; while there is great diversity in the architecture, it works. OU ties into Athens much better than MU and much of the campus has a very urban feel due to its higher density. Plus, Athens has a downtown Taco Bell!

The latter part of this thread is certainly more beautiful than ATHENS.

Thank God for The Ocean Club.

Apparently it costs jobs but they manage to eat quite well!

That was so mean. True, but mean!

Apparently it costs jobs but they manage to eat quite well!

Ouch.

Well you know it's expensive to eat heathly ;)

Thanks for the tour.  I have never visited OU, but have heard about its beauty.  I was just talking to someone whose parents went there for school, but she had never visited the campus.

Morton Hall is enough to make me hate it though LOL

OK, I'll address the elephant in the room. When did Athens get an abandoned Planet Hollywood?

Very nice! The campus at Athens was really nice the last time I visited, and the newer structures certainly take cues from the old.

Just to make sure everyone knows, the photos after the gateway are Easton in Columbus.

Or is Easton in Gahanna?

It's in COLUMBUS!  Gahanna doesn't exist.

Holy Crap, OU has an Easton Towne Center?  It must be the most urban city in Ohio.

Just beautiful.

preservationrestoration...let me assure you, Morton Hall is just as ugly inside.  (Or at least it was from 1992-1997.)

MayDay, be nice.
