It seems like Cleveland was doing o.k. until this last week.  At least three murders this past week, maybe one or two besides that.  I hope Frank's initiative to get the guns off the street brings the number down from last year.

AFAIK, Youngstown was at 0 until this week.

4 children, their mother, and grandmother died in an arson fire.  It's reported that the 18 year old who set the fire was upset about a stolen cell phone.

How have Ohio cities been doing so far this year?

You're just all about the murders, huh?

Children are dying at an alarming rate.

1776'-Freedom Tower  ,"You're just all about the murders, huh?" Quick answer: NO.

I like to keep up-to-date on homicide trends in cities, but that isn't all that I am about.

I hope that answers your question.

Take care

all you have to do is click the quote button in the upper right hand corner of every post to quote them, but it really seems you are all about the murders

Thank you for the tip on how to use the quote button. We need to keep up-to-date on the homicides occuring in our cities and the individuals that were murdered. This thread is for that purpose my friend.

I don't agree with all of them, but Freakanomics has some interesting theories for crime reduction

Heh. Lower crime due to abortion rates after Roe V. Wade! Despite the fact that upwardly mobile women with great career prospects are most likely to get abortions. Not to menton, crime increased during the period of time those kids would have been in various other age groups. I think he also contended the whole "effective policing" strategy in NYC which we all know had little impact. I can't believe that book was required reading, it's so misleading.
