MayDay's picture really demonstrates how monochromatic the downtown architecture is, at least taken from that angle   I've never really paid that much attention to it.

Off topic - but I'll stop at this one. I saw tower cranes being used to build 4 and 6 story buildings when I was in Nashville

Some afternoon fun!

I'm surprised you all haven't named that crane yet.

Ok Pleco, l have to ask. What is that shorter building in the first pic? Did l just wake up from a long nap and forget something?

^ I was wondering about that also. Looks like it would be on Public Square.

If I’m not mistaken, SHW is building another 300 footer later on to go along with the main 600 foot tower.

that's further west on superior

Correct- but that building would be hidden by the main SHW building since it will be built behind the main SHW building from this angle.

What @Mendosaid.  I think we’re just not used to seeing that angle of City Club Apartments in renders, but looks about right directly across from the PNC building.

Someone had to do it.

coldaycrane  👍

Ichabod  Crane, Bob the Drag Crane, Pinky and the Crane, Roy Donk and Billy Crane Present The Colgate Comedy Hour Presented by Sherwin-Williams. I’ve had a lot of caffeine this morning.

Since SHW is a paint company and the crane is building something that will add a splash of color to the Skyline. What about “Cranebow”

TIL not enough people on this sub watch I Think You Should Leave. Roy Donk ftw lol. And for Christ's sake, warn a fella when you're serving tepid Gazpacho!

I know this is only a tangential and unserious conversation about the Sherwin Williams development, but...

Hart Crane - A son of Cleveland, and a powerhouse of American poetry.

https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poets/hart-crane

"Hart Crane is considered a pivotal—even prophetic—figure in American literature, who is often cast as a Romantic in the decades of high Modernism. Crane’s version of American Romanticism extended back through Walt Whitman to Ralph Waldo Emerson, and in his most ambitious work, The Bridge, he sought nothing less than an expression of the American experience in its entirety."

Couple questions for zbaris87.

When will the construction cam start?

Any update on the multiple high rises expected to announce soon next to S-W?

Sorry about the construction cam, been super busy, but it is coming

There are multiple potential high rises coming in the warehouse district, near Sherwin, but unfortunately not allowed to say at the moment what's going on. Still very early planning stages

^ By highrise are we talking between 20and 30 stories?

^Cleveland Cliffs/Courthouse combo tower 1200ftr!  😉

Sorry guys. But probably a little less than that. We'll see. Unfortunately it's not a SHW HQ project so we should probably discuss it in the Rockefeller Building thread....

For the most part as long as we’re eliminating parking lots I’m happy.
