September 14, 20222 yr Weston had a great vision for the Warehouse District. I'n not sure if they are still a possible candidate for SHW to start facilitating with in getting the remainder of the site developed. Edited September 16, 20222 yr by LibertyBlvd
September 15, 20222 yr So this would be right about where phase 2 would go. Any thoughts? Not saying it means anything, just curious! From tonight.

Yes, they are taking ground samples to see what they have to do to build a 200-300 foot tower. These are my thoughts. 😁 But what the hell do I know. 😜
September 16, 20222 yr For what it’s worth, the drill is back over on the main lot today and has been moving around to several spots next to / surrounding the main tower. It’s definitely interesting it was in the other/future lot before. Makes you wonder - and cross your fingers!

It’s definitely interesting it was in the other/future lot before. Makes you wonder - and cross your fingers! Hate to burst your bubble but there is no discussion of the second tower. I asked around and everyone on the job seems to be pre-occupied with what's already under construction. And they are already behind schedule because of the lack and cost of supplies, especially concrete. Maybe when the first phase gets to interior finishes, the second tower will be revisited. But things are pretty crazy in the construction market right now. What will be interesting to see is, when people start moving into the new HQ, what will SHW do with their leased spaces in the Skylight office tower and on Hinckley Parkway? Will SHW keep Hinckley? Will they move them downtown to Skylight? If they move them to Skylight, does that represent a Lilli pad jump closer to the future second tower? Or might Skylight be abandoned by SHW and Hinckley staff moved only once? Or never? September 28, 20222 yr Its almost hard to fathom how much contiguous surface parking there was just a short time ago. Even though we have a lot left to fill, this is incredible progress.
September 28, 20222 yr Also great perspective to show the much-needed balance the development will provide to the skyline. Can almost feel the weight of the existing buildings tipping the ground to the left.
September 29, 20222 yr A bit of a preview on a smaller scale - Farrell Building downtown Richmond, VA

September 29, 20222 yr The rooftop greenspace next to the Farrell Building tower is quite impressive. I'd love to see something like that here; would our local climate prevent any of that?

September 30, 20222 yr I'm not sure what's coming out of the ground. Is that the main tower because it seems really narrow from front to back.

October 1, 20222 yr Looks like the jumping concrete formwork is in place and it's really going to start to rise now.
October 2, 20222 yr Sherwin Williams released their planned presentation for the joint planning commission meeting on Oct 6. There is not a single bench to sit on surrounding the buildings. Only minimal "leaning rails" and "seating rails" I don't get why they are against people enjoying the grounds https://corporate.sherwin-williams.com/content/sherwin/corp/corp-aem-sherwin/us/en/media-center/building-our-future/building-our-future-news---updates/headquarters.html scroll down to : HQ Final Landscape & Amenity Submission On September 29, 2022, Sherwin-Williams submitted to the City of Cleveland our headquarters site final landscape and amenity package. October 2, 20222 yr Let SW build their fancy tower, the city can install real bus shelters and seating when they're done. 🥱
October 3, 20222 yr I'd rather focus on the improvements the committees have been able to push SW into, in particular, the East end of Frankfort.
October 3, 20222 yr I'd be surprised if they approved this. benches and the sidewalk interactions along w6 were their biggest concerns and shw didn't even address either

There has been little to no push back from either commission to date for obvious reasons. Maybe now that the headquarter building is a sure thing some members will actually grow some balls and not politely suggest things but just vote no. They do it all the time to small time homeowners and businesses.
