January 30, 20232 yr The SW project is beginning to show up on the EarthCam - Cleveland Cam at Pier W in Lakewood. This camera includes a zoom lens. Go To: www.earthcam.com/usa/ohio/cleveland/?cam-pierw
January 31, 20232 yr Yeah, really cool view! I was trying to visualize the SHW Tower all topped out with the lights on - that's gonna be exciting to move towards in the coming months. But I was also thinking how even cooler that view could be with a Gateway Megaproject Tower added or even some Haslam-plan high rise activity south of the stadium. Just sayin'...... One thing's for sure - SHW will beef up our skyline very noticeably. Can hardly wait....
January 31, 20232 yr Author I like this live cam view too. It's from the 3-mile water intake crib and it tends to be a brighter view. Here you can you see how the SHW tower will add to this view, as the crane is completely unobstructed. From this view, one can imagine how the SHW tower will look here, rising to almost as tall as 200 Public Square (the 3rd tallest tower). January 31, 20232 yr Yesterday. I know how you guys love your crane shots so I kept it in this photo. We can see since last week that they've fully wrapped around the 3rd floor of steel.
January 31, 20232 yr And, as speculated here earlier, the crane now appears to be outside the tower starting on the roof of the 3rd floor.
February 1, 20232 yr This may be THE most documented construction project in Ohio history. Well done, folks! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
February 1, 20232 yr I think we're documenting every single new piece of steel going up on this thing and I love it lol
February 1, 20232 yr if we had a construction cam I might not get anything done at work. So there is one pro to this questionable delay.

February 2, 20232 yr Question, what's the lot west of the SHW tower slated to be? One of the renderings showed surface parking.

February 2, 20232 yr Hmm... I see "Insert image from URL", then shows a URL as an example. Seems like I have to post it somewhere else, then paste that URL? Seems like I can't select it from my drive and upload it. Thanks - I'll keep trying.
February 2, 20232 yr Oh, here we go. Weird... I did a quick Photoshop from Mov2Ohio's "Top of the 9" shot. Tough combining a drawing with a photo, but for what it's worth...

And I like how the Key tower is reflected in the facade.

So we basically get a little cherry on top by being able to see that beautiful building lit up at night twice. Edited February 3, 20232 yr by ASP1984

Sorry, my attempt at humor fell flat... I was referring to the shot of the City Club crane in the foreground of the completed SHW tower.
February 3, 20232 yr When completed. the top of City Club should also be appearing from that vantage point.
February 3, 20232 yr Author Hey, since we don't share enough pictures of this puppy, how 'bout this! 😁 (In reality, one can never share too many aerial views) "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

February 5, 20232 yr I see their posts on reddit a lot and they do take some awesome pics! I just wish they would cool it with the color saturation to 1,000 lol. Or at least posting the original pics along with the edited ones would be cool
February 6, 20232 yr I didn't even realize they started work on the parking garage! I'm always too busy staring at that beautiful structure rise. Has the shack build commenced yet?

February 7, 20232 yr Looks like starting with the fifth floor, each vertical column is 3 stories high. I've never seen that before. Going up 3 stories at a time from here on up, I guess.

Key Towers "twin" to me would be Bank of America Center in Charlotte. I kind of like the roundness and crown/lighting better there but still had same architect.

It's either the Bank of America in Charlotte or ATL that I've seen used as stock footage to represent "EVIL CORPORATION" in movies lol. As for SW I think it's going to end up looking kinda like an XL version of the Polymer Science building at The University of Akron.
